Taehyung's grandfather and his accomplice were gone. I looked around but the commotion around me gave me little space. People were keeping a distance from me while they were trying to get a good look at me. Human curiosity knows no bounds.
Jin calmly helped Taehyung stand, with little surprise in his feature. What had he seen in his life that nothing really took him out of his comfort zone, or had he just learned how to mask his emotion. He nodded towards me, holding the brim of his hat to hide his eyes.
"Gray, you are arrested for suspected murder of three people," Jungkook said distantly. “You will be taken to the police station for questioning.”
I nodded. He put handcuffs on me reflexly. He was operating on protocol than the situation at hand.
"No," I could hear Tae from behind me. "Gray, I am sorry." I looked back at him. What was he sorry for?
"Let's go," Jungkook ordered.
"Just inform Byul for me," I flashed a comforting smile at Tae.
He just looked confused and sad. "How could I fucking forget?" Jin was trying to support him, but he was in obvious pain. Headache? I didn’t really know what happened when people regained their memories.
Jungkook lightly pulled on my handcuffs, which were slipping off. I just caught it and followed him. He walked me inside and through the hallways, taking the side hallway to avoid people.
"Most of the people should have been evacuated," the officer walking in front informed us. He was clutching his gun tightly.
I let out a cough to startle him a bit, but all four of the officers around us jerked to attention.
Jungkook glared at me, pulling on my arm. He had realized the handcuffs were too big for my wrist and was holding me by the arm instead. I just complied with him.
By the time we got to the police carriage I was bleeding onto his hands. He didn't seem to mind. He lightly pushed me inside startled a bit at the uncomfortable feel of the feathers as he touched my back, and he closed the door.
It had gotten dark and foggy. I couldn't pull my wings back as the now unlaced stay was pinching it firmly against each other. Byul altered most of my clothing for me, but some just could not be made more adaptable.
Jungkook entered the carriage with a sigh. "No one wants to ride with you."
I nodded. He took the seat opposite me as my wings occupied most of the space.
He put his head on his hands rubbing his eyes, finally letting his emotions show. "When were you going to tell me, Gray?"
The carriage had started in a gentle rhythm. I didn't answer. There was nothing to answer.
He looked up and leaned his head back. "When your father said you were hard to take care of, I seriously didn't know it would be this hard."
"I am sorry."
"Did you kill them?" He asked, almost afraid to know the truth. His gaze was still fixed to the ceiling.
"I don't remember."
"What?"
"I don't remember but I have reasons to believe I did."
