I slipped out of the handcuffs. I adjusted my clothing and finally pulled my wings back.

I knew Jungkook had noticed it. It just was getting really uncomfortable. He stared at me. He had been working on the report, while keeping an eye on me.

I slipped my hands back into the cuffs. "Why don't you just fly away or something?" He said.

"I can't."

"You obviously can," he said exasperated.

"I can't fly," I said glaring from the bars of the prison cell as he nonchalantly went back to his report.

"You could run," he said, still calmly working. Did he want me to run?

"I could," I agreed. "But I am tired."

He looked at me, raising his eyebrow.

"Tired of running."

"Hmm." He went back to his work. "I had given up on finding you."

"Sorry." I knew this was personal to Jungkook, but I just couldn't remember. Couldn't remember the day. Couldn't remember anyone involved except Tae. And even Tae I wasn't sure if I actually remember from the incident or just because he was with me when I came to awareness.

I knew how important this was to him, but he had been wasting all his effort all this time. Everything he tried to prove was quickly countered by father then. No wonder he lost hope. "I could confess," I tried.

He frowned at me. "That won't be necessary."

"Kook, you have nothing to testify against me."

"Maybe, I don't want to anymore."

I tried reading his expression, but he just proceeded on with his work. "Kook, I killed your brother."

He sighed. "What do you want me to do about it, Gray?" His voice slowly rose. "Put you in prison for life," he questioned.

"You have been inside there for not even an hour and I have never felt worse about myself," he said. "I would rather you leave and never come back."

Leave. "I am really sorry," I barely managed.

"I know you are and it hasn't helped."

I nodded. Just focus on something else. Fuck. He was right. I am so fucking useless. Why did I ever come back? Crack
