"Why are you here?" Jungkook asked when I got to his table.

"I work here." It was really late. Moonbyul had stopped us mid way and made us eat a full breakfast. It didn't seem like Jungkook expected me to come at all.

He sighed. "Really, Gray. There isn't much work left and I am on top of it. You don't have to worry."

I pulled a chair and sat down. "I am not here to do your work. I wanted to compare notes."

He scowled at that. "Go ahead."

I went to the cabinet. I had rummaged through it last time. I just wanted to see if there is some inconsistency. "These are so difficult to look through. None of the possible vampire attacks has been classified as one."

Jungkook nodded while still working on something, didn't even bother to look up.

I put a pile of case reports on the table and started to read through it. It really was difficult to look through with attacks classified as suspected one or just plain manslaughter or assault.

"Gray." Jungkook woke me up shaking my shoulder. I didn't even remember dozing off. "It's getting late. We should get going."

"Hmm." I was sore all over. How did Joonie sleep on chairs all the time?

The station was uncharacteristically quiet. Only a few people were left. "Let me get a carriage," he said holding the bag I had brought with me.

I stood up and followed him to the carriage and climbed in. He climbed soon afterwards.

The carriage started moving rhythmically along the road. It was already dark outside.

"What happened, Gray?"

"Huh? Um, nothing. Just wanted to work a little. Sorry I fell asleep."

It was silent for a while. "Gray, your neck is bruised."

I adjusted the scarf. "Just an accident."

I could barely see him raising his eyebrow in the dusky light.

"I don't want to talk about it."

He nodded and stayed silent through the whole ride.
