Chapter 11

Summer Youth Camp was indeed, indelible. I am so grateful that I have given a chance to engaged with wonderful people. Very life changing ang camp na iyon sa marami.

I'm here on my study table, writing all of my thoughts, experiences, and realizations about sa camp. I stopped writing for a while as I rest my head above my journal and took a deep breath. I found out that I'm watered with tears... it was stuck there for so long.

I crumpled the paper then threw it in the trashcan since my tears ruined it. So, I decided to write it down again and this time its artless. I wiped my tears and started.

After I wrote down everything ay tumayo na ako. I'm going to prepare for school because the enrollment will start today. Actually, I'm not going to school just to enroll myself because the online enrollment system will do. But I braced myself to fulfill my duty and responsibility as a USG President.

I'm wearing a plain loose black long sleeves tucked in, denim high-waisted jeans and a pair of ladylike flat shoes. I fully tied my hair up as a messy top knot. I also pulled out my bangs and comb it with my hand. I looked straightly in the mirror because it's very obvious na umiyak ako. Kinuha ko ang black frame fashion eyeglass ko at isinuot ito.

I looked again in the mirror. I put a baby powder, a nude lipstick, light mascara and a small pendant necklace. Perfect. Kinuha ko na ang sleek leather backpack ko na color black sa may closet at iniligay ko sa loob nun ang mga gamit ko. Saka ako umalis na ng kwarto.

Pagkababa ko ay walang tao sa living room pati na rin sa dining. Nakita ko si Uncle Brandon na kausap si Mama Linda sa kitchen at parang ang lalim ng pinag-uusapan nila.

"O-Oh, Betryle. Kumakain na ang Lolo at Lola mo sa garden. Maagang umalis ang Mom and Dad mo kanina habang ang Kuya mo naman ay hindi pa umuuwi..." Manang Linda said na parang nagulat siya dahil naroon ako sa kusina. Baka talagang confidential ang pinag-uusapan nila. I just smiled at them then I walked towards the garden.

Napangiti ako when I saw Lolo and Lola happily eating breakfast on the garden. There smiles lighten up the gloomy days. Bagay sa kanila ang awiting 'Grow Old with You'. I glimpsed at my phone, eight o'clock na pala. Hindi ko na namalayan ang oras.

"Lolo! Lola! I have to go na po..." paalam ko saka ako nag-mano at bumeso sa kanila.

"Apo, alagaan mo ang sarili mo ha..." paalala ni Lolo sa akin.

"God bless you, Apo..." si Lola. She gave me her beauteous smile as she held my hand.

Matapos kong magpaalam ay dumiretso na ako sa kotse ko. I threw all of my things at the back seat at agad namang binuksan ng guard ang gate. Then, I drove to school.

I parked my car near at the University's Office. Kinuha ko na ang lahat ng gamit ko mula sa likod saka umalis at tinungo ang loob ng opisina. Papasok na sana ako ng meeting room when I saw Princess, Hailey and Billie at the corridor at agad ko silang nilapitan.

"Hey, girls!" I said happily.

"Ate! Ang ganda-ganda mo naman..." bungad nila na may pagkamangha matapos ang isang mahigpit na yakap.

"Enrolled na kayo?" tanong ko saka inayos ang mga papers na hawak ko.

"Opo, ate. Mabilis lang naman po kasi dahil sa online sytem ng university..." Hailey said. Malaki talaga ang naitulong ng online system sa amin.

"I heard po ate... ikaw raw po ang nagproposed nun..." masayang kwento ni Princess sa akin.

I wouldn't take the credit as of the moment particularly that I can't remember how I did it. Hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong maging masaya sa nalaman ko...
