Second semester just started.

I’m here at the café near to the company that I’d choose for my internship. The reason why I applied my internship here because I didn’t want to go to CT Corp because aside from the reason that I’m not planning to take over our business someday, I also didn’t want to take some special treatments just because our family’s the owner. I want to create my own.

To: Adriel
Where are you? You’re late, Mr. Santle.

From: Adriel
Here.

There he is standing outside, waving his hands while smiling. He’s calling.

["Come on, come here."]

“What? I thought we’re just...”

["No, come on, just come outside."]

Kinuha ko na lahat ng gamit ko then I went outside.

“Where we going?” I asked.

He just gave me a beautiful smile. He walked towards my direction. He placed his hand behind me and pulled me closed to him as he kissed me on my forehead. He gently held my hand as he guided me to his car and started the engine... saka kami umalis.

He stopped the car at the front of a simple but elegant restaurant near on our subdivision.

“I’d choose this place because it’s new, the food taste really good and especially very closed to your house,” he explained.

Adriel knows that I’m tired because I have so many things to do related to my internship and my research. I’m glad that he really do understands me. He even always made a way for me to be with him. Kagaya ng paghatid at sundo niya sa akin.

“Do you want another place?”

“No, this place is beautiful and I’m happy that you’re here with me...” He gave me tight hug and held my hand saka kami pumasok sa loob ng restaurant.

“Good evening, Sir. Do you have a reservation?” Adriel nodded.

“What’s your name sir?”

“Adriel Santle,” he stated then the waitress guided us to our table.

Adriel moved the chair as I sat down. “Thank you...” He took my stuff and about to place it under the table. When he got down, I saw his scars at the back of his neck, near on his nape.

“Adriel, kailan mo ba sasabihin sa akin kung sino ang may gawa sa’yo niyan?” I asked suddenly that made him caught off guard. He bit his lower lip, lowered down his eyes and sighed heavily.

“Can we not talk about this right now?”

“And when?” I asked. I furrowed my brows. I just can’t get his point of hiding it from me, from us who just wants to protect him.

“Just, not now...” he responded.

I just closed my eyes and massaged my temples. Right after ay naserved na ang food pero hindi pa rin ako nagsasalita.

“Okay...” he uttered a sigh. “It was black, member of a gang, we had a big fight at the club dahil may binabastos siya kaya tinulungan ko yung babae. Then, his gang hunted me down because of it. And... I ended up beaten near to death.” He stopped talking as he held my hand above the table.

“Can we just continue talking ‘bout this after nating kumain?” mahinahon niyang tanong.

Pagkatapos naming kumain, dumiretso na kami sa kotse niya at dito nalang mag-uusap.
