I have a friend who drinks alcohol in the afternoon, yet every night she still prays.
She loves going to parties, yet every Sunday off to the church she goes.
A lot of tattoos and piercings can be seen on her body, yet she is an advocate of women empowerment.
Sometimes she goes to class with a hangover, yet she will still ace the reporting as if it's nothing.
A cursing machine is what she is called at times, yet her mouth also speaks of values.
One night, my mom and I had a little fight over the phone while i am with my friends. The biggest of all our little fights.
My friend heard me talking back to my mom.
I knew that she never liked it whenever I shout at my mom.
And so, she told me as she rolls her eyes in irritation, "You are an ungrateful piece of shit for doing that to your mom."
Little did she know that our fight is about my mom telling me to stay away from her for she thinks she is bad for me.
And my mom would never know that the friend I defended, just killed me with her words.
I looked away.
