Summer Danvers
"Okay then, see you tomorrow." Adam says over the phone. I called him after I had a long talk with my parents to tell him that I'll give this acting thing a go. And tomorrow, I have to attend a meeting of all the cast and crew, as my character Thalia was the only character that needed casting.
"Bye." I say and hang up. Because of mom telling Riley and Lexi off, I didn't get time to call Adam before I surfed, with Jake coaching me of course. I think Jake has his mind set on the fact that I will qualify for nationals this year. I want to too, but.... It's tough competition out there. I text Jake.
Hey Jake, I don't think I can come surfing tomorrow bc of wat I told u today.
I press send, and text my mom to come pick me up from surfing. She comes really soon, and I hop in the car, and see Chase is in there too.
"What are you doing here?" I look at Chase. Chase opens his mouth to reply but mom beats him to it.
"I bought Chase because Riley and Lexi needed to sort things out between them, I made them sit in the same room when I left, but I doubt they'll stay in there." Mom says, and stops at a red light. "To give them more bonding time, why don't we go get Starbucks?"
"Yes! So coming with you was a good idea then." Chase grins and I roll my eyes.
"Of course it was sweetie." Mom says.
"Mom. What did I say?" Chase growls.
"You said you loved being called sweetie." I chime in, and me and mom laugh as Chase just scowls. After we order out drinks and pick them up, we head back home.
"Well, I do hope they said at least a few words to each other." Mom says, tapping her fingers on the steering wheel.
"Of course they didn't mom." Chase says.
"Well, then I must take you out more often to pick Summer up." Mom says.
"Sure, as long as we get Starbucks."
"Well, about that......" I trail off, and explain that I have to go to that meeting tomorrow. Mum nods in understanding. When we get home, Riley and Lexi are nowhere to be seen. Riley and Lexi have recently not been getting along very well, I have no idea why. But all of us siblings get along well. Most of the time.
"Where are they?" I ask no one in particular.
"I did ground them." Mom says. "Summer, Chase, can you go look? If they both covered for each other and they both went out, they're gonna be grounded for even longer, let me tell you that." Mum huffs. Chase and I head upstairs.
"Looks like we're the only good kids in this house." Chase says, patting the top of my head. I swat his hand away.
"Yeah, I am, but I don't know about you." I say.
"I am a good kid. A better one than Lex." Chase says. Lexi and Chase are really close, despite their differences.
"Well I can argue with you on that one." I say as we get to the top of the stairs. "But Zach's not bad either." I say. Zach's our older brother, he's 18, and he's in his last year in high school. He doesn't get picked up by mom because he has his own car and sometimes he gives me and Riley a ride. Lexi and Chase are still in middle school. "You look for Lexi and I'll have a look for Riley." I say.
"Okay, sure." He says. I head over to Riley's room. I don't bother to knock because I have a feeling no one's in there. I open the door. Yep, just like my suspicions, no one was there. I check my room just in case, but no one. "They must've left the house." I say, shaking my head as I meet Chase in front of my room. Chase nods. We head back down the stairs and tell mom.
"Of course. Why am I not surprised?" Mom sighs, as she prepares ingredients for dinner.
"What's for dinner?" Chase asks.
"Pasta." Mom says. "Well, thanks you two, and we'll see if they come back."

I knock three times on the door, and Adam pokes his head around the door. I've come to the place Adam texted me, for the meeting. I am so nervous. I could barely sleep last night. I didn't know what I was nervous for exactly, and had no idea what to expect.
"Summer! Come in, come in. I'm glad you could make it." Adam says, and ushers me in.
"Hello." I say and sit as he gestures to a seat.
"This is for you." Adam says, handing me a very neatly made booklet. My lines. There's a little bio at the top, and I read it.
Thalia is just an ordinary girl, who just goes to an ordinary school, and does ordinary things. But that was until she gets invited to her friend's party and meets Austin, a well-known popular boy in the school. He obviously likes her, but Thalia doesn't know it. She doesn't really know how she feels about him. They get to know each other more, and they start dating.
This is like your stereotypical love story.
But is it?I pause. And they start dating. I read that line over and over again. Down below, there's a bio that's going to be on the DVD cover.
Thalia, an ordinary teenage girl, doing ordinary things. But things start getting extraordinary when she meets someone. A special someone. Only one question remains: is he the one?
Austin, a popular on the school, known by all girls, has a pretty chilled life. Until he meets someone. A special someone. Only one question remains: is she the one?I flick through the lines, wondering who's going to play the role of Austin. Suddenly, the door swings open, and I look up to see none other than Sean Carter.
Sean Carter.
Oh my god. I never expected him to play the role of Austin. Then it dawns on me that I'll be acting with him, and I'll be supposedly dating him in the movie. Oh. My. God. Is this happening? My eyes widen and I freeze in shock as he walks past me, and I stare at my sheet, finding it much more fascinating than ever.
"Sean! Take a seat. Okay, now that everyone's here, I'll make the introductions. This is Sean Carter here, you already know," Sean waves his hand. "-and this, is Summer Danvers." Adam looks at me.
"Um, hello." I say.
"Summer will be playing the role of Thalia, while our Sean here will be playing the role of Austin." Adam says, and puts his hands together, and everyone else starts clapping. I blush, and mumble a small thank you, even though I'm pretty sure nobody heard me. Adam explains that we will be doing a few really simple scenes tomorrow a bit late at night, which are scenes without much lines.
Tomorrow the plan is that Kaitlyn, which is another actor that is starring and my friend, Kaya, will be at my supposed house, and we'll be discussing things. Sean doesn't need to be here tomorrow, but he said he would come along anyway, to 'check things out.'
"Okay then, see you all tomorrow, thanks for coming." Adam finishes and everyone files out. I head out as well, texting my mom to pick me up. Everyone was heading to the lift to get down, so I decided to take the stairs, because it was only going a couple of flights of stairs. I open the door leading to the stairs, and head down the stairs. I hear the door close shut behind me, but another time again. But I'm pretty sure I heard the door closing before, how can it close again? I turn around, to see Sean.
