Summer Danvers
I look in surprise at the guy who said he supposedly liked me, the guy who has been trying so hard for us to be together again, hugging another girl. I look closer, and what do you know? The girl that's hugging my ex is Sophie Reels. I turn on my heel and start walking in the opposite direction. I was just on my way back from filming and I was just looking around for where my mum was, but I find this instead. I spot my mom's car and jog over to it.
"Hey, honey."
"Hi mom." I say as mum starts driving.
"How was today?"
"W-what?"
"How was today, filming and everything?"
"Oh! Um, uh, good." I say, as I put my seatbelt on.
"It doesn't sound like it. And didn't you see the car? I could see you but you kept looking somewhere else."
"I dunno." I shrug, as I lean back into the seat. "I'm tired." I lie to avoid talking, I really don't feel like doing that right now.
"Oh okay." Mom says. For the rest of the ride, it's silent, and when we get home, I head straight upstairs and into the shower. When I walk out and chuck some clothes on, I hear the doorbell ring through the house.
"I'll get it!" I hear Lexi yell and I hear her running footsteps down the stairs. And soon, I hear some footsteps coming up and Lexi swings open my door. "It's for you."
"Oh. Okay." I say as I run a hand through my hair, wincing as it gets caught in my hair. I'll brush it afterwards. I walk down the stairs, and up to the front door, I slightly push open the door, and my eyes widen when I see who it is.
"Uh.... Hi." A familiar voice says.
"Hey." I say. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to... Talk."
"Um... Now?" I ask.
"Yeah, now."
"Um... Sure..." I open the door wider, and he walks through it, and I close the main door and we both walk up to my room. When we get to my room, I immediately grab my brush and gesture for him to sit. "So, what did you want to talk about?"
"Oh.. Um.." Ray runs a hand through his hair. "About before..... I-"
"Don't worry about it. I'm not your-" I yank the brush through my hair. "Your girlfriend or anything."
"I-I know that, but-"
"It's fine. You don't need to talk to me about it. You were just hugging your girlfriend, after all." I shrug as I put my brush down, and sit on my bed.
"Uh, Summer? She's not my girlfriend."
"Oh really?" I say sarcastically. He was seen kissing her, and hugging her, so technically you might as well say she's his girlfriend.
"Yes, really."
"Care to explain?"
"Well, I was hugging her because she was so... Uh......" Ray looks at the ground, as if thinking of what to say. "Uh..... I mean, like um...." Ray stutters for a full minute when I interrupt him, rolling my eyes.
"See? You can't think of anything. You're hugging her because.... You like her." I say. "It's pretty simple. You just need to admit it. If you like," I pause, biting my lip. "I can ask her for you if she likes you back." I choke out. I can't believe I'm saying this. Ray has absolutely no idea how hard it was for me to say it. It really hurts seeing him with another girl. But I can't risk getting my heart broken again.
