Chapter 16: Avoid

Chapter 16

"I will protect you from now on"

That word keeps bugging on my mind these past few days. Nagsimula ito nung isang araw na pinagtulungan ako ng mga goons ni Amber.

*FLASHBACK*

"You okay?" he said while were going out at the clinic.

"Yeah. I feel much better now." I said and look at him with a smile on my face, "Thanks for saving me. Again." I sincerely said.

"You're always welcome nerd" he's staring at me intently then he suddenly held my hand, "Remember this words." he said na nagpataka sa akin.

"I will protect you from now on." He smiled sweetly at me.

My eyes widened and my mouth parted in shock. Confusion also written on my face. I look at him and stared at him confusingly but he is just staring at me seriously.

I can't speak but when I open my mouth, sasara ulit ito dahil hindi ko mahanap ang tamang sasabihin.

Nalilito talaga ako sa inaakto nito these past few days lalo na ngayon. He is always doing things that confuses the hell out of me. Compared to the other day he did not left me hanging after saying and doing weird things again.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

After that day I started avoiding him. We will just met to do the tutor thingy after that I will go home immediately. I don't know if he is aware that I am avoiding him but I know that he knows. Hindi naman siguro sya tanga para hindi mapansin. I was so obvious and I am aware of that.

I am avoiding him not because I can't stand what he is doing and saying weird things at me because there is something that I felt in my heart and I don't know what it is. Everytime I see him my heart pounding heavily. Hindi masakit kundi kakaiba pero hindi ko masabi kung ano.

Kagaya ngayon, I saw him walking towards my direction pero kaagad akong lumihis paliko; opposite to where he is heading.

Pagliko ay nag-umpisa akong tumakbo because he saw me when I was about to walk opposite to his.

Humihingal akong tumigil at napahawak sa puso dahil sa lakas ng tibok nito. My lips parted when I am breathing heavily. Napapikit ako dahil sa pagod.

I was about to get up to go back where I was heading when I felt a hand holding my wrist. I look at the person who do that and my lips parted in shock when I saw who it is.

Hinigpitan nito ang hawak sa aking pulso at hinila ako sa bakanteng classroom na malapit lang sa amin.

"I know what you are doing nerd." He said while staring at me full of anger.,"and I hate it." he coldly uttered.

"I don't know what you are talking about." pagmamaang-maangan ko.

"Oh really." He held my hands using his left hand and he held my chin using his right hand. He stared at me and lean on me closely. Ang lapit lapit na namin sa isa't-isa. I turn my head sideways but he use his right hand that holding my chin para mapaharap ulit ako sa kanya.

"Don't try my patience nerd." he look at my lips, "Don't you dare try to avoid me again. Hindi mo magugustuhan ang gagawin ko sayo and I' m serious."

Tinaas nya ang mukha ko para mas lalong makita ang kabuuan ng aking mukha.

My eyes widened when he suddenly kiss me. Ang kamay na nakahawak sa aking nguso ay nasa pisngi ko na ngayon. He's caressing my cheeks while kissing me.

I gasped for air after he let go of my lips. Nakapikit parin ang aking mga mata after he let go. Hindi ko namalayang napapikit pala ako sa ginawa niya. Naroon na naman ang weird na nararamdaman ko sa aking puso.

"That's your punishment." he uttered while still caressing my cheeks.

I glared at him at nag-umpisang pumiglas para makawala and finally h let go of my hand. I held my wrist and started squezing it. Hindi naman sya mapula.

"Don't dare kiss me again."

"I won't if you won't try to avoid me again." he said then he just shrugged like it was nothing.

"Iiwasan ko kung sino ang gusto kong iwasan panot. It's my life kaya 'wag mo' kong diktahan at utusan." I shouted at him. I'm not angry I'm pissed at him.

Inisang hakbang nya ang namamagitan sa amin at hinila na naman ang kaing pulsuhan. "Simula nung unang angkinin ko ang labi mo parte na rin ako ng buhay mo. Kaya whatever I tell you to do. Do it. Don't make me say twice." ha said before he walk out. Pissed.

Umawang ang aking labi at hindi makapaniwalang tumitig sa pintuang nilabasan niya.

I can't believe him. At siya pa ang galit.

Napailing-iling na lamang aki sa sarili at lumabas pagkatapos.
