"She's obviously not fine,"
Nandito kami ni Miko sa condo niya. I was really worried about Nala but she wouldn't say anything. I even asked Ysa kung may sinasabi pero wala naman daw.
"Maybe she doesn't want you to be worried?" He said.
"Don't I look worried?" I asked and pointed at my face.
"You look annoyed." He pointed it out. "You are annoyed because she won't tell you her problems. Don't pressure her, maybe she just needs time before she lets it out."
I sighed and took a bite of my pizza. Am I not being a good friend? I'm just worried. We always tell our problems dahil alam naman namin na may makakatulong.
"Don't stress yourself too much," Miko cupped my face. "I won't tell you to relax dahil baka mas ma-frustrate ka but try to think that maybe she knows that she can deal with it."
"Are you saying she doesn't need me? I'm her friend." Kumunot ang noo ko.
"What I mean is maybe she wants to be independent," he explained. "Open your mind, don't close it babe."
I really appreciate Miko's patience with my rants. Before, when he was not with me yet I would always throw my rants at my dog. Of course, me and my friends would not always be in the right state of mind to talk to each other.
We are friends after all. There are times when we fight with each other and we can't throw rants at each other.
"I'm making no sense," napailing ako.
"I understand. Ganiyan talaga kapag nasasanay ka. It is going to be hard kapag may nagbago but you'll get through it." He kissed me on my forehead. "All you can do for her is be patient and understanding. Believe me, she knows that you are just there."
I sighed and rested my forehead on his chest. I probably look like a baby because I was still chewing my food.
"Pagod na ako,"
The last day of classes before Christmas break was a long one and there were so many quizzes and exams. So many demands, kesyo mawawala daw kami ng ilang linggo kaya kailangan ganito ganiyan.
"When is your flight?" I asked Miko.
I was still on top of him while my arms are wrapped around his waist. He was also hugging my waist and just letting me lay on his chest.
"Tomorrow,"
"Mauuna pala kayo," nakangusong ani ko. "Paano tayo magkikita? Saan ba kayo mag hotel? Baka mamaya nasa Tokyo lang kami tapos nasa Nagoya kayo. That's a 4 hour distance."
"Actually, sa Osaka kami–"
"Mas malayo!" I looked up at him.
"Joke," he chuckled. "Sa Tokyo lang, Dad has some business to go to there."
"Tapos same hotel pala tayo," I giggled. "Do you know your way around Tokyo? Have you ever been to Japan?"
"I've been there a few times," sagot nito. Mukhang nagyayabang. "Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka. I went to those places and saw a few tourist spots with my Mom."
Atleast hindi ibang babae kasama niya.
"Pangalawang beses ko pa lang, Tokyo ulit." I chuckled. "Alam mo ba, mahilig ako mag-travel."
"Share mo lang?" Tanong nito.
"Ah, ganon." Umalis ako sa pagkakahiga ko sa ibabaw niya. "Ganiyanan na–"
"I was just kidding!" He laughed at me. "Halika ka na dito."
Marahan niya ulit akong hinila. Nandito lang kami sa sofa.
