"Tell me the story next time,"
I looked away and stared at the city lights. He was already drunk and I don't want to take advantage of his state. Gusto ko kapag magkwento siya ay normal state ang utak nito.
"What do you mean next time?" He asked.
He moved closer and I flinched a bit when his shoulder touched mine. He apologized right away and moved a little para lumayo.
"Next time, when you're sober." Sagot ko sa tanong nito.
"I'm drunk?" He asked. Obviously drunk.
"Are you not?" I raised a brow at him.
"You look like you're drunk," he pointed at me and chuckled.
"I didn't drink that much," I shrugged my shoulders. "Hindi ka pa babalik doon? Baka hinahanap ka na ng mga kaibigan mo?" I looked at the bar.
Everyone seems to be busy on their own businesses. The party was still lit and it was already 10 in the evening.
"You don't want me here," he pouted.
"Nanligaw ka lang naging pouty baby ka na," I laughed at him kaya mas lalo siyang sumimangot.
"I'm not a baby," he pouted even more. So cute.
"Hindi ka lasing, 'no?" I tried not to laugh dahil papikit na yung mata nito.
"Nope," he waved his hand, signaling 'no'.
"Oh, really?" I playfully asked him and he nodded. "What's my name then?" I tried to ask to see if he was really drunk or not.
"Salena! or Mika," he chuckled.
"Okay," I shrugged. "Tara doon."
Nauna na akong maglakad papunta doon sa table namin ng mga kaibigan ko. I looked back and laughed when I saw how slow Miko was walking. His face was not sleepy but his walk says otherwise.
"Oh, anong nangyari d'yan?" I pointed at Kai who was leaning on Jasphire's shoulder.
"Borlogs," natatawang ani Nala.
Umupo na ako sa tabi nito at ilang saglit lang ay umupo na sa tabi ko si Miko. He looked serious. I poured whiskey on the glass that he was holding and he drank it in one go.
"Baka kailangan mo pa magmaneho," I reminded him.
"Oh, oo nga pala." He scratched his head and cutely smiled.
My friends were talking to him when my phone rang. Tumayo ako at nagpunta sa labas dahil tahimik doon. I leaned my back on the railings before answering the call.
"Mika, hija." It was Mom.
"Yes, Mom?"
"I'm sorry to ruin your night but..." Tumigil ito sa pagsasalita.
"Why? What happened?" I was getting worried.
"We rushed Trio to the hospital–"
"What?! Anong nangyari sa kaniya?!" Hindi ko na namalayan ang pagtaas ng boses ko.
"Can you come to our vet? I'll explain when you get here." My Mom's voice sounds very concerned.
"I'll go now," pinatay ko na ang tawag at agad kong kinuha yung bag ko sa lamesa.
"Are you going home?" Tanong ni Miko.
"Emergency," I gave him an apologetic smile
"Bakit, hon?" Tanong ni Jas.
