"Uy! Ano sagot sa number 3?!"

I stopped walking to face my friend. I acted like I was thinking before giving her an answer.

"Sumama ka muna sa Dasol," I smirked and walked away.

"I said I can't go, hindi ako papayagan ni Daddy." She sounded defeated.

We were walking out of our building, pauwi na.

"Joke lang, naiintindihan ko naman." I lightly nudged her shoulders. "May next time pa naman."

"Send me pics of the beach na lang," she nudged me. "It'll make me feel like I'm with you."

I just rolled my eyes at her bago kami naghiwalay ng daan. She was going home to her condo while I was going home to my house. Magkaibang direksyon kami.

From: Mom

What do you want for dinner, hija?

She's my favorite cook!

To: Mom

Tinola!

In just a few minutes ay nakarating na ako sa bahay.

"Have a good day po, manong!" I gave the taxi driver thumbs up before he drove away.

She was a light brown Japanese spitz.

"How's my baby?" I ruffled his fur until I reached the front door of the house.

I signaled a 'no' sign to the helper who were about to get my bag from me.

I saw Mom and Dad cooking and laughing like the happy married couple that they are.

"Surprise! Uy! Ang bango, ah!" I inhaled the delicious aroma of the tinola.

"How's the finals, baby?" Mom kissed my cheek at ganoon din si Daddy.

"Kinda easy but not," I shrugged my shoulders. "Nala found it hard so maybe it was." Pagkwento ko tungkol sa finals namin kanina.

"Oh, is she really not coming with you to Pangasinan?" Dad asked.

To my parents, my friends were also like their daughters. I almost grew up with them. We met in first year high school and like what others say... High school friends are the best.

"She can't," I gave a sad smile.

"There's a thing called next time, baby." Mom pinched my cheek.

"Nga pala. Your room was robbed by someone–"

"WHAT?! MY ROOM?! MY ROOM WAS WHAT?!" I immediately cut off Dad's words.

"Just check it out,"

Well, I'm not that dumb to really think that my room, my room especially, got robbed. Hell there's a lot of security going on in the house.

I acted like a spy, slowly creeping my way to my bedroom door. When I held the door knob, I positioned my foot to kick the door pero bigla na lang iyon bumukas at niluwa noon ang kaibigan ko.
