Special Chapter - Happy Anniversary

To you,

It has been 1 year since we first crossed paths with each other. It was a wonderful journey of writing this lovely couple. The first in our Isla Filipinas universe. The first prologue, the first chapter, the first epilogue. But definitely this is not the last.

I have said this before and I will say it again. Thank you for showing this story some love as I have did with it.

As we celebrate the first anniversary of this story, here is a little something for you hehe. ;)

"Are you ready, babe?"

I was fixing my hair in front of the floor to ceiling mirror beside the vanity of our room. I looked at Miko who was still only wearing his pants, he gave me a smile before walking towards me.

"Are you ready?" He returned the question to me.

"Of course! It's not like mahihimatay ako kapag sinabi ko sa mga kaibigan ko na engage na tayo."

Napabilis ang pagsasalita ko kaya natawa si Miko. I rolled my eyes at him.

"It's like calm before the storm you know," I shook my shoulders. "After telling our friends, we'll tell our parents." I winked at him, grabbed his polo, and put it on him.

He was holding me on my waist while staring intently at my face. I could see him even though I was busy buttoning up his polo. After, I wrapped my arms around his neck to give a soft kiss on the lips. I chuckled because he followed my lips when I pulled away.

"Rinig mo 'yon?" I pointed at the door.

I could already hear the music downstairs. Kai was the very first one to arrive and she was already setting up the ground floor together with the helpers while waiting for the others to arrive. Kanina pa iyon kaya malamang ay marami nang dumating na bago.

"Iyon ang tunog ng magiging buhay mo kapag pinakasalan mo ako," I laughed while slightly pulling him towards the door.

He grabbed my hand just before we went out of the master's bedroom. He placed it on his chest and lightly pulled me closer.

"You feel that?" He asked, mocking me from earlier. "That's a constant reminder of my love for you."

"Asus! Corny!" I lightly tapped him on the cheeks.

"Kinilig ka naman," He fired back before laughing at me for rolling my eyes.

I held hand tightly and pulled him out of the room. I was getting more excited as we take each step down the stairs because I can already hear my friends' voices and laughter. That's the sound of my happiness apart from the voice of my fiancé.

Fiancé.

I smiled to myself thinking about how we'll be living under the same roof once we get married. It gives me butterflies thinking about how we'll sleep in one bed every night after saying our vows to each other. It makes my entire system flutter thinking about how I'll be able to call this man, my one true epic love, as my husband after I walk down the aisle and give my hand to him in marriage.

I stopped daydreaming when I heard Ysa's loud voice coming from the living room.

As of the moment, si Kai pa lang ang nakakaalam tungkol sa engagement namin ni Miko at ang alam ng iba na rason kung bakit may celebration ngayon ay para lang sa house blessing at comeback announcement naming dalawa. It only has been two weeks since our engagement and I have been trying my best to hide it from them since we planned to have this big reveal.
