The next day went and I found myself sitting again in the rice fields. Hindi ko alam kung kailan dumating si Davin but I found myself leaning beside him. Payapa ang loob ko habang nakatingin sa kawalan samantalang pinapaunod niya naman ang mga batang naglalaro sa di-kalayuan sa amin.
"Hey, I have something to tell you."I said excitedly kaya napa-upo naman siya ng maayos at ganoon din ako. I looked at him happily kaya kunot-noo niya naman akong tiningnan. "Remember what I told you the last time?"I asked him that made him even looked at me confused.
Napatigil naman ako ng maalalang hindi ko pa nga pala nabanggit sa kaniya ang ukol doon kaya natahimik naman ako.
"What is it?"tanong niya sa akin kaya pinilit kong ngumiti.
"I'm home schooled kasi for almost thirteen years and this year I'll be entering my dream university." masaya kong sabi sa kaniya. "Actually, I'm a little bit afraid kasi baka hindi nila ako magustuhan or..."malungkot kong sabi at paunti-unting nawawala ang excitement na naramdaman ko.
Slowly, doubts and fears crept into me. What if's and everything came out of nowhere. It's true! what if I became lonely because no one wanted me as their friend or worst what if I got bullied? I immediately thought home schooled as a better idea than this.
"Shh, don't mind other people Adayna." pagtatahan sa akin ni Davin kasabay noon ang pagbuo ng kaniyang mga ngiti. "It's a matter of you. Saang university ka ba papasok?"tanong niya sa akin.
"Feroso University."sagot ko at bakas naman sa mukha niya ang pagkagulat.
"That's the same university that I'm in!."He exclaimed kaya nanlaki naman ang mga mata ko. "Don't worry, I'll be your first ever friend."dagdag niya pa.
"Does this mean that we can still be together while studying?"masaya kong tanong at dahan-dahan naman siyang tumango habang nangingiti.
Davin and I visited an abandoned sugar mill near our house. Ikinuwento ko sa kaniya ang palagian kong pagpunta dito tuwing nag-iisa. I saw him checked the area while I was busy telling him a lot of random stuffs that I did. I even show him the plant that I planted when I was still thirteen, it was a gmelina tree. Malaki na iyon at mataas.
"How did you discover this place?"Tanong niya sa akin kaya natigilan naman ako.
"Jace. My ex-boyfriend." I said.
"Oh, I'm sorry about that."
"It was raining that day, kakagaling lang namin sa eskwelahan niya at naabutan kami ng ulan sa pag-uwi kaya sumilong kami. Unluckily, wala ni isang lugar na pwedeng masilungan dito kaya tumakbo kaming dalawa, masaya, hanggang sa makarating kami rito." nakangiti kong pagku-kwento sa kaniya bago siya nilingon.
