Choices

Jisoo was so happy to wake up the next morning and seeing Lisa by her side, snoring as usual. But she has come to love her snores and all the not-so-good traits that Lisa has.

"Without them, she won't be my Lali.", Jisoo always tells her mind.

And with the limited time she has with girl, she promised herself to make the most out of it.

After kissing Lisa's forehead, Jisoo slowly slid out of Lisa's arms that were embracing her and went out of the room to prepare breakfast.

As she crouches and look for something in the fridge, her phone buzzed and saw it was Ms. Chick.

"Yes?", Jisoo asks.

"Good morning Sajangnim. I'm sorry to call at this early time. But the legal team would want to talk to you at around 9AM regarding the website."

Jisoo peeked at the wallclock. 7:30AM.

"Not possible, Ms. Chick. Lisa's here--------"

"Whhhaaaattt?? Lisa-ssi is here? I mean with you???!! Oh my God Sajangnim I'm so happy for you!! I'll tell the legal team that you won't make it and adjust it to 1:30 in the afternoon. Don't worry Sajangnim, spend time with Lisa-ssi as much as you want. Take the morning off or even the day off. I'll take care of everything here!!!", the Secretary rambled and Jisoo was just wide-eyed and amused at how quirky and witty her secretary is.

"No no Ms. Chick! I'll be at the office before lunch, but yeah move the meeting with the legal team at 1:30 in the afternoon. And Ms. Chick, kindly call the auto shop and ask them to pick up my car here this morning. Have the tints be darker. And please tell Mr. Moon to pick me up here in my place at around 10AM and use the service car. Tell the auto shop that they have to get my car here before 10AM. Got it?"

"On it Sajangnim!!"

"Thank you Ms. Chick. Is that all you have to say?"

"Yes Sajangnim."

"Okay, see you later!"

And Jisoo hangs up.

Just in time for her to choose what to cook for breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausages, vegetable salad, toasted bread and fresh orange juice.

In the middle of cooking egg, she felt a slender arm snake into her waist and making her body crash unto the slender woman.

"Hmmm you smell of sunny side up egg, I want to eat you up.", Lisa whispers in Jisoo's ears.

Jisoo cringed and slapped Lisa's arms.

"That's so gross Lisa!!"

Lisa couldn't help but giggle at her own craziness and Jisoo's reaction.

"Let me help!", Lisa afterwards said.

"Nope! Just take a seat and I'll just do the cooking. This won't take long.", Jisoo nudges Lisa, and then pulls the taller girl to a stool and lets her sit while she proceeds to the counter to start cooking.

Lisa could only watch in awe. Everything about Jisoo amazes her and regrets the fact that for more than a month she neglected her, not being by her side when the days got tough for the older girl.

Today, she could see Jisoo smile more often. Genuine smiles but the sadness and the pain of the situations is still visible. She is also part of that painful incident and that what makes her regret her decisions.

But she promised herself to devote her time and efforts to make things better, if she could, and to be there by Jisoo's side, come what may. 

She almost lost her, and she had the painful and sweet realization that Jisoo is her life. It may sound too cheesy or too cliché but she feels deep down her soul that what she feels for Jisoo and what they have is something worth fighting for. The path for them may be rough but not impossible. And besides, their love for each could make them overcome any obstacles, and the fact that they're still together, technically, proves that their love is stronger than any shitty days.
