Making Amends

"It's so sad that my own niece is bringing so much shame to her family, and whether we admit it or not, Jisoo's involvement in this scandal has affected the company so much.", Kim Yuk Ji, Kim Ji Hoon's younger brother and Jisoo's uncle, started during their Board meeting.

Ji Hoon, at the end of the conference table, balled his fist and gritted his teeth in annoyance to his younger step-brother brother.

"And you would really use my daughter's issues just to get this position huh!", the older Kim snaps.

Yuk Ji pretended to be taken aback and offended at the accusation.

"Hyung don't get me wrong and don't take it personally! I'm only thinking of the welfare of the company. And currently, with Jisoo's scandal, the criticisms left and right, and the lawsuit against the website by YG will eventually stir another buzz and we won't know the extent of damage it will cause the company."

"My daughter's issues have nothing to do with the company.", Ji Hoon could only mutter.

"Sadly it does, hyung. You, being the CEO, and your daughter being caught up in a very very sensitive issue, affects the company. Criticisms everywhere. And even majority of the members of the Board are talking about it. It even got louder when just last Sunday, Kim Jisoo was spotted holding hands with her so-called girlfriend and former bandmate Lalisa Manoban at the airport. How is that? You keep on denying that there is nothing going on between them and that they're just good friends, but the photos show otherwise."

Murmurs inside the hall surfaced. It's true. Last Sunday when Lisa was scheduled to go back to Thailand, Jisoo did not hesitate to see her off. They perfectly know that paparazzis would be lurking in the airport and seeing them together would be a great scoop. And so they did see them and flashes of cameras came their way but gladly, Jisoo brought with her her most reliable former manager and now her driver and bodyguard on call.

And yes, they were holding hands. Lisa held unto Jisoo's hand more and even wrapped her arm around the girl's shoulder to protect her from being tackled or hurt or pushed unnecessarily.

And this fact has, again and as expected, circulated in almost all of the frontpages, digital or otherwise.

And Jisoo and her father had been head to head again since that day.

"What do you suggest, then Mr. Yuk Ji?", asks one of the members.

Yuk Ji dramatically looks around the table and boldly said, "Sad as it may seem, but I believe there is a need for us to elect a new CEO."

"What???", Ji Hoon burts out, slamming his hand unto the table. "You really think using my daughter's issue would get you to this position??", he continues to flare up.

"It's nothing personal Hyung! Why don't we let the Board decide?", states back, smirking.

"Fine!", addressing the Board. "It's up to you to believe the lies of my dear brother. Let's see where this company would end once you let him, a gambler and a swindler, to take over this company."

"How dare you accuse me of such acts!", Yuk Ji answers back. "I have done nothing to give shame to our family and to this company. Unlike you and your disgusting daughter!!", he continues to burst.

The members of the Board started to panic and tried to calm them down. But Ji Hoon was beyond control because of the attacks against his daughter.

"You son of a bitch!! Don't you dare say things against my daughter! And just to let you know, I have been making investigations about your illegal acts inside the company! The billions and billions of money that is being lost, you think you can't be traced??!! I have proven that it is you who have been stealing money from the company and making overseas deposits to another name to cover your tracks. And your gambling addiction abroad? Huh it's unbelievable! Sad to say brother, I have more connections than you think so its easy to know your every move! And in no time I would have to have you in jail! I was thinking of not divulging it and to personally confront you and pardon you. But you left me with no choice!", Ji Hoon quips back, taking Yuk Ji by surprised, including the Board.
