luggage

the weight we carry each and every single day,
varies from time,
and the type of luggage.

sometimes we force to close the zipper of a suitcase,
way too heavy for our own strength,
and we forget our limits.

sometimes we bring an empty case,
to places we need resources—
and it's done on purpose.

we let go of things we need,
even if it's crucial to our survival,
because we trick ourselves in believing otherwise—

"i don't deserve it,"
but don't you?

the weight we carry,
often times seems like a nuisance,
and we let go of ourselves with it.

sometimes that weight is good,
as it is a sign of a future—
an adventure awaiting.

sometimes that weight is just what we need,
as it is the only proof of our existence—
a need to keep going.

if you drop your suitcase now,
how will you travel forward?
