Alarm

The perpetual murky beginning was about to inaugurate, in the middle of this engage city, the enthralling ball of fire trade the moon to give light to half of the sphere.

I squinted my eyes when the sunrays become stalwart as the minutes passed by. Ang mga gusali ay nagsisimula na din magpakita mula sa aming dinaraanan, ang kotseng sinasakyan ay tila naging basahan sa mga nadadaanang higanteng pang pasaherong bus at trucks. Napangiti ako ng mamataan na binabagtas na namin ang kahabaan ng SLEX papasok ng Metro Manila.

Some people might be the fan of the country side but I was different from them, bata pa lamang ay labis na ang kasabikan ko sa syudad. The idea of the capital makes me excited and imagined so many fun ideas in my head. I stared at the sunrise ready to reign the place, tamang tama sa nararamdaman ko ngayon.

"Are you sure hija?" Si Mommy sa aking tabi.

I looked at her and creased my brows.

"What Mom?"
Her bare face without the touch of beauty products was still refined.

"This..." Aniya sabay tingin sa labas. "The city's scary, hija. I am afraid that you can't deal with the people and the surroundings. Ibang iba ito sa Sta. Monica."

I smiled to assure her that I'm fine.

"There's nothing to worry about Mommy, I am Camila. How could they manipulate and belittle me?" Pabiro akong umirap.

Her chuckles told me that she is fine.

This place was indeed unprecedented to me. I was born in the province, Even so I've been here in the capital of the country, there's still differences if you're going to live here. This is literary out of my league, but being in the province wouldn't let me recce the things outside.

Nothing will happen if I will stay on my comfort zone, paano ko malalaman kung hanggang saan nalang ang tapang ko kung ang mga bagay na ginagawa ko ay ang tanging nakasanayan? That wouldn't do anything, life is about to take risk. To try, to commit mistake, and to learn.

"At isa pa Mommy, I want to prevalent my name. Paano ko iyon magagawa kung hanggang sa isang local magazine lang ako susubok?"

Ngumiti siya sa akin at tumango.

"You're pretty wise, talagang Cervantes..." Aniya. "You indeed have a point. The connections here in the city compared to the province are kind of reliable, mas marami rin ang maaring magbukas na oportunidad sa iyo dito,"

"Oh, before I forgot..." Sambit niya ng may pagtanto. "Remember your Tita Grace?"

Hindi masiyadong matandaan ay tumango na lamang ako. Dinukot ni Mommy ang kaniyang iPad sa gilid at may kung anong pinindot pindot doon.

"She called me yesterday, there's this search in a teen magazine here in the city, since we'll stay here for good, might as well to have our entry." excited niyang sabi.

Halos mapunit ang labi ko sa ngiti bago tumango. The idea of a photoshoot excites me!

"Oh! I should inform your glam team too immediately, busy pa naman iyon si Kevin."

Hinayaan ko na lamang si Mommy na asikasuhin ang mga kakailanganin. I was born in a family where I was showered with love and overwhelming support, kahit noong bata pa man ay isinasalang na sa mga photoshoot para sa mga local brands. Even mommy and daddy had their blessed and support to me they still urge me to finish my study even it is a four years course.
