CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Ill

I believe in fate. I believe that every single day was a chance to have the best decision, I believe that at some point I did failed, I lost David. I lost the man, I loved. And all I need to do was to put an end to that sequence.

I want to talk to David, I want him to heal from the pain, I've cost.

The universe will only allow those things to happen when the right time comes, because forcing a situation that would simply lead me into making the same mistakes I had made in the past. I began to realize that, I could not go back and force things to be as the one they were.

"Ms.

I cleared my throat and looked at the old man in front of me. I give him an apologetic smile for spacing out in the middle of our meeting.

"I pulled out my shares and that almost contains the forty percent of the company,"

Nasa isang cafe sa Makati ay isang investors nanaman ang nawala sa amin, and the one which held almost the foundation of our company.

"I'll close some branch too since the assets and current liabilities weren't balance enough to save your company,"

Bakit may kontrata?!

Kagabi 'rin ay binasa ko ang financial statements and our restaurants wasn't doing any good.

Humalakhak ang matanda, he must have seen the dilemma etch on my face.

"I'll give you time, Ms. Cervantes. Since this is business, I understand you wanted to make a good decision,"

Nanghihina akong tumango at ngumiti.

"It's been a pleasure working with you," aniya ng tanggapin ko ang kaniyang pakikipag kamay. "And...congratulations for being qualified in such international runway, you deserved all those recognitions,"

Ngumiti ako. "Thank you Mr. Francisco, I'll give you a call once I've made up my mind,"

We really are going to be a beggar Mommy, kaunting kembot pa at rarampa na tayo sa isa sa mga lansangan ng Manila.

My phone rang.

"Camila!" galit niyang utas. "How come that there's only fifteen thousand in my account?! Sinong mabubuhay sa kinse mil?!"

"Mom..." pagod kong utas.

"I was with my amigas!" eksahedera niyang dagdag. "And the saleswoman said that I've reached my limit! Ginawa mo ba iyon?!"

"Yes Mom,"
