Chapter 50: A Glimpse

Seriously, after the danger we have gone through ay may gana pa silang kumain. Then right now this girl in front of me is very busy skimming on the magazine that she is currently holding. Habang ako ay hindi pa nakamoveon sa barilan kanina and for f*ck sake she was holding a gun!

"What's with that wrinkled head?" simpleng tanong niya. I cleared my mind at kalmang sinagot siya.

"Can you please explain what happened earlier. " Pinasadahan niya lang akong tiningnan tapos itinuon ang atensyon duon sa may cashier. Halos pumantig ang tenga ko sa tipid na sagot niya.

"We were chased."

Napupuno na talaga ako ngayon dahil hindi ako sineseryo ngayon sa taong kaharap ko.

"Yeah. Hindi ako bulag." Pinakalma ko mona ng kunti ang inis ko ngunit...

"Why asked then...." She replied still not paying attention to me. Why the heck did I fall for this woman. Sarkastiko kung napaisa ang isang sulok ng aking labi at hindi ko na talaga mapigil ang matinding inis na nararamdaman ko ngayon at hindi ko maiwasang maihampas ang dalawang kamay ko sa ibabaw ng mesa.

Wala na akong pakialam kung may ibang tao.

Thanks to that, this girl is now paying attention to me now.

"Hey! Yeah, we we're chased... WE WE'RE CHASED!! But lady, they got guns!!!" galit na sigaw ko. I don't care if I did call her names or if people heard.

I am impatiently waiting for her response. But she annoys me more when she suddenly laughs.

Hindi na matinding inis ang nararamdaman ko ngayon ngunit galit. I might love this woman but I still have my pride. It seems like she is really not taking me seriously.

"Did you just laugh? I am dead serious here Queen. And seeing you have used a gun is a very serious matter."

I heard people whispering and again, wala akong pakialam. Nakatuon lang ang paningin ko kay Queen.

Napakunot ang noo ko ng bigla siyang pumalakpak at tumayo. Ganoon nalang ang gulat ko ng bigla niyang iginapos ang dalawang kamay niya sa kanang kamay ko. I don't know how should I react. Ngunit hindi pa siya tapos. Namimilog ang mga mata ko ng bigla niya akong hinalikan sa pingi tapos isinuksok ang sarili niya sa aking dibdib.

I feel numbness on my feet and felt out of breath. Wala na ako sa tamang pag-iisip. I'm completely lost.

We're back on our seats right now and I can't help closing my eyes while crossing my arms thinking how I acted earlier. What can I do, I just want to shut the hell out of Stone and also I don't like any hassles on just minor things.

Lumipas ang dalawang minuto, katahimikan ngayon ang pumapaibabaw sa aming dalawa. Hanggang sa dumating si Wave.

"Pasensya po Miss Nagi, ngayon lang dumating ang order niyo at salamat sa paghihintay." sabi ni Wave habang inilapag ang mga pagkain sa mesa.

"It's okay." I replied and grab the spoon and fork.

"I am hoping that you did not misunderstood my actions earlier, Stone. It's just that you were just too loud. I just save our asses out from trouble. And one thing, I don't have time for such minor things." I said while my attention is not on him. It took him almost 5 seconds to answer and that made me turned my attention on him and I accidentally look at him into his eyes. His eyes look so empty and cold.
