Tooni rubbed his hands together. "Over the course of the next four weeks, Ara and Fade got closer. Although, at times Ara still skirted around him, not knowing how to act, the ice between them had thawed.
"Fade found that he loved spending time in her presence. He loved discussing with her because she always had something enlightening to say and her smile always lit up his day.
"Ara, although never telling him much about her, also liked spending time with Prince Fade. Whenever he asked her a question concerning herself or her background, she would give a vague answer and then change the topic. Fade noticed this, but never pushed her for more with the hope that one day she would open up to him.
"The others watched this exchange, none of them uttering a word about it despite how surprised they were. Prince Fade had never shown any type of special interest in anyone except his family members, which was why they were surprised to see him fawning over someone who just joined them about two and a half months ago.
"All was going well and smooth, until one day..."
