A/N ~ I added on to chapter 3 if you wanna read that cause the end is a bit different hehe. Also, what kind of movies would Jared watch? I feel like comedy would make sense but like it's also kind of basic and vague ya know? Any ideas?

Evan's POV

I'm sitting on my bed when I hear my phone buzz.

CronchIsCool: Hey acorn. U busy? 

I start typing my message back.

Acorn: I'm never busy. Why?

No wait does that sound rude? 

I delete the message and try again.

Acorn: Nope! Same as always, why do you ask?

Yeah sure that's okay. 

CronchIsCool: I'm coming over to watch a movie

Oh. Yay!

Acorn: Ok. See you soon!

CronchIsCool: Yep. Be there in 10

Soon enough, I hear a knock on the door. I run down the stairs and look outside before I open the door just to make sure it's Jared. You never know, maybe there's a serial killer who saw Jared coming up the driveway and kidnapped him and then is gonna come after me. It might happen. And you wouldn't want to accidentally let a serial killer in the house. Well that wouldn't happen but it could. After seeing that it was indeed Jared - not a serial killer - I give him a quick wave through the window before unlocking the door and letting him in. 

"Hey Acorn," he greets

"H-hey Jared. W-what's up?" I ask.

"Your dick while you're waiting for your porno to load," he says with a smirk. 

"JARED!" My face gets flushed. 

He chuckles the way he always does after making a dirty joke. I swear he's like a 12-year old. 

"I'm just kidding! Geez, it's a joke, not a dick don't take it so hard." He bursts out laughing. 

"I-I don't, wh- st-stop it jared!" He can't even contain his laughter. 

"I-It's not fu-funny!" 

"You're right it's not." He pauses. "It's hilarious!" 

I furrow my eyebrows, and pout. But an angry pout. 

We make our way to the living room and sit on the couch. Jared grabs the remote. 

"So whadaya wanna watch, Acorn?" he asks, pulling up Netflix on the TV.

"Y-you can ch-choose."

I hate making decisions. Especially with movies. There are just too many options. And Jared would make fun of me for anything I choose. 

As Jared scrolls through the movies, I feel my phone buzz in my back pocket. I pull it out and see a notification from Connor. 

I still can't believe I asked for his number. I mean I just thought that like maybe we could friends and texting is way easier than talking in real life, you know?

I open the text.

Connor: Hey Ev

(I can't think of a good name for Connor's contact that Evan would think of. Suggestions please??)

I smile at the nickname. 

That means we're like good friends right, if he gave me a nickname? 

I don't know if I should respond right away or wait a bit. I don't want to seem desperate for attention or anything. I wait about 20 seconds before type my reply.

Treeboi: Hey Con

Connor's POV

He already texted back! 

Treeboi: Hey Con

And he gave me a nickname!!! ashfjkasdjs my heart...

Ok dude calm down. What happened to your "i don't give a fuck" mentality? 

Man, love can make you soft. Well not love. Just... crushness. 

Ok what should I say? Um how about....

Connor: Wyd?

No that's what fuckboys say.

Connor: What r u up to?

Yeah that's good. 

I wait. 

No response. 

Damn. Well it's only been a minute. 

Connor: Do u wanna hang out or smth?

Treeboi: I'm really sorry I'm watching a movie with Jared rn...

My heart sinks. 

Fuck. He's probably just trying to be nice instead of saying he's not interested. God I'm so stupid. Why would I ever think that someone like Evan Hansen would want to hang out with someone like me? He probably just thinks I'm some pathetic high school pothead. A fucking loser. 

I throw my phone on my bed. 

Then I hear it buzz and immediately scramble to check the notification.

Treeboi: But do you maybe want to go somewhere on the weekend instead?

AAAAAAAAAH never mind my emo self HE WANTS TO GO OUUUUUUT!!!
