The voices belonged to teenage boys and I knew it was just Luke and his friends.

I started to hear footsteps making their way down the hall and into the room.

I heard the door open and voices filled the room.

"Where's Dakota?" I heard someone say.

"I don't know," I heard Luke say.

"Oh she's right there, she's knocked out."

Luke dimmed the lights in his room, and they kept talking. I felt the bean bag move as his friends probably wanted the tv to play video games,

"Guys, what are you doing?" I heard Luke say sounding panicked.

"Chill we were just moving her to play games."

"You coulda just told me, I'll move her to the bed."

I was doing a good job acting asleep even though everyone in the room was talking about me.

"Why don't you just put her in the guest room, I'd hate for us to wake her up."

'Please don't put me in the guest room,' I pleaded hoping Luke could somehow read my mind.

"Nah it's fine this is her room too," Luke responded.

"Ok."

I felt Luke pick me up from the bean bag, I started to move around acting like I was waking up.

"I'm just moving you to the bed," Luke whispered.

"You coulda just told me to get up," I mumbled.

"You looked like you were knocked out."

"I actually wasn't asleep at all," I laughed.

Luke looked at me frowning.

"I got nervous so I pretended like I was asleep, I'm like a goat."

"You weirdo," he said putting me on his bed. "Guess what?"

"What," I beamed looking up at him.

"I don't have baseball tomorrow."

"Really?"

"Yea, coach is going somewhere so he said we all get a break."

"That was nice of him."

"Yea, we can hang out all day now."

"That sounds good."

I laughed as the other boys turned the gaming console on, one of the boys that I didn't recognize walked out of the room on his phone.

They all started to play video games and I started to fall back asleep. Luke was sitting on the edge of his bed in front of me watching his friends play games.

'I guess it's kinda weird I'm sleeping while all these other guys are in here playing games,'  I said in my head.

This thought kept me from actually falling asleep. I didn't want anyone other than Luke to look at me while I'm knocked out.

'I'll just go to the guest room.'

I grabbed my phone and slowly got up and slipped out of Luke's room, all the boys were too invested in the game to notice I had left the room.

As soon as I got into the hallway the same boy I saw walk out was on the phone with someone leaning against the wall. He looked at me and smiled, I smiled back waving before getting into my actual room.

Once I got into bed I wasn't tired anymore.

'This would happen.'

I went on my phone for a little while scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram until I heard a knock at the door.
