-Luke's POV-

My dad dropped us off at the airport and we got our flight. I was texting Jack all throughout the boarding process and the whole flight.

'Have you seen her?'

'Yea I just left, she's been stable since you guys left they aren't worried anymore.'

'Is she still asleep?'

'Yea, They just came in and lighted up her drugs so she should wake up sometime soon.'

I ended up falling asleep for the majority of the flight, my mom woke me up when we got there and I had to wake Molly up.

"C'mon let's go," I rushed out of our terminal to get our car back.

My mom was getting her ID out of her wallet, "Luke slow down, nothing is going to happen."

"I know but I just want to get there."

She got the rental car after a long wait and I ran to find it in the lot.

"Is this it?" I asked once I reached a white Ford Explorer.

"Yea," My mom said unlocking the car.

We threw all of our bags into the car and drove back to the hospital.

"I'm sleeping here tonight," I announced when we pulled into the parking lot.

"I'm not," Molly yawned. "That chair hurt my back."

"Luke you can't stay here alone," My mom whispered as we walked into the lobby.

"Why not."

"I mean you can if you want to but I don't think you would."

"Yea I do."

"Ok, we'll see how she's doing."

I walked ahead into the room she was in when she left but this time the room was empty.

"What the hell," I whispered feeling tears form in my eyes. "Mom where'd she go."

My mom didn't answer instead she was talking to a nurse that happened to pass by.

My mom waved me over and tried talking quietly, "C'mon Luke she's a couple of floors up now."

I let out a sigh of relief and followed my mom and sister back into the elevator. My mom led us down a different hallway that was much nicer than the one from before, it was quieter too.

"She should be in here," She said opening a door.

Dakota was laying in a bed in a much bigger room, there was another couch and a few more chairs than her other room had.

"Make yourselves comfortable," My mom whispered sitting on a chair and taking out a book.

Molly sat on one of the couches, and I pulled up a chair next to Dakota's bed. I wasn't tired anymore but I was getting bored, I pulled out a book I was supposed to be reading for school and passed the time that way. I spent the next couple of hours keeping one hand on Dakota's palm and the other hand making sure my book doesn't close on me.

"Wow Luke's actually reading," Molly yawned looking up from her phone.

"Yea I can be a good student," I huffed.

"Mhm sure."

I looked around and noticed that it was super dark outside and the hallways were empty.

"Are you guys ready to get going?" My mom whispered putting her own book away.

I shook my head, "I'm staying."
