Luke went back downstairs to the kitchen. I got up and walked back to the bed going back on my phone.
"Chicken nugget time!" He yelled walking into the room.
He was carrying a plate and water bottles, Luke set them down on the table and passed me water.
"Thank you," I replied taking it from him.
He got in the bed next to me and pressed play on the remote.
"This isn't even scary," he added, grabbing the plate from the side table.
"Sometimes it is," I commented as he passed me a nugget.
I ate 4 dinosaur-shaped nuggets and I was full.
"One more?" Luke asked.
"No,"
He turned his head to look at me.
"I'm just full," I laughed patting my stomach.
"Are you really? Or are you just saying that?"
"No, I'm actually full."
"Ok."
"You don't need to worry about me."
"Yes I do, cuz I know you won't eat."
"Yes, I will."
Luke gave me another look.
"We'll see about that the next time one of us leaves."
"Yes, we will, 'cause I can do it."
I rolled over on my side so I was facing Luke better.
"How are you not full?"
"My stomach is bigger than yours," he said pulling his shirt up.
"That's true."
"Are you excited for Monday?"
"Luke why would you say that," I whined.
"Because you're gonna do great," he said looking at me with awe in his eyes.
I looked back up at him.
"You gotta believe me," he said moving the plate onto the side table.
"I believe you," I exhaled.
"Good," he smiled. "What are we gonna watch after we finish this?"
"I wanna watch that bank robbery show."
"Anything for you," he said laying flat so his head was in my neck.
We were on one of the last episodes of The Haunting of Hill House and I was so glad, this show did scare me but I knew Luke liked watching it.
"I gotta take a shower," I yawned laying on my back.
"Take a super fast one."
"I'll try."
I got up and walked to the bathroom.
"Dak!" Luke yelled when I stepped into the bathroom.
"Yes Luke," I replied turning the water on.
"Guess what happened," he yelled.
"Luke you're gonna have to sit in here to tell me cuz I can't hear you."
I was in the shower when Luke walked in.
I saw him walk in and sit on the toilet seat. "Ok, so right when you walked in here my mom texted me."
"What was it about?" I asked from the shower.
"Ok, so she said that earlier today she got a phone call from a coach for football."
