He moved from my side to wrap his arms around me from behind me, as the guide kept talking.
Luke was forced to let go of me as we kept walking, when everyone started to move I was in the middle of all the kids going along on this tour. I started to fall behind trying to go back to his parents.
"What are you doing?" He said pulling my hand.
"Going back," I muttered.
"Back to where?"
"Your parents."
"Why? Just stay here."
"No just let me go back,"
"But I want you with me."
"Please just let me go," I said still feeling nervous.
"Fine fine," He let go of my hand and let me go back to his family.
I sunk to the back and tried not to look up at him, I already felt bad enough for leaving.
"Any questions before we close?"
There were a couple of questions that other families had asked about the campus. I was picking at my nails waiting for the large group of people to break up.
"Dakota my friends want to meet you," Luke said coming over and reaching for my hand.
I took a deep breath before walking towards him.
"Are you ok?" He asked as we kept walking.
"Yea I'm good," I smiled before turning my head back.
We walked into a group of 3 boys that were already talking about something.
"So this is Dakota." One of the boys commented.
I'm not sure why but this comment always made me feel bad, I felt like I did something wrong.
"Yes... Dakota this is Matthew, Garret, and Jonathan." Luke said quickly.
I nodded and waved to them all, in return, they smiled back at me and continued with their conversation.
"Are you ready to go?" Luke asked me.
I nodded and waited for him to make a move so we could go back to his parents.
"I'll see you guys soon," Luke interrupted the conversation between the 3 boys.
"Awe already?" Matthew whined jokingly.
Luke made a face and laughed before walking off with me closely following him.
Once we got back to his parents and Molly we all started back towards the car.
"That was so boring," Molly huffed.
"It wasn't bad, it was a nice campus."
"It was a lot of walking."
"It wasn't even that bad."
"It was long."
"Just a little," Luke agreed.
I was just continuing walking with the rest of them trying not to trip over my own feet.
"Do you guys want to look at anything else before we leave?" Mrs. Walters asked.
"No we just toured the entire school," Molly replied.
If I was feeling like my normal self I would have laughed at her impatience.
"What are we doing when we get back?" Luke asked as we got into the car.
"Well, we have a long drive tomorrow up to Maine so it's up to you guys."
