Chapter 6

It's been a few days. In that time it's been crazy, everyone believes that a Serpent killed Jason, some even think my dad did. Jughead had his birthday which ended up with a fight. I celebrate my birthday the day after our actual birthday, as a kid I hated the fact I had the same birthday as Jug so I had my own. So for my birthday I hung out at the Whyte Wyrm drinking and dancing then ended up back at Pea's place.

"We have to do your initiation now" Sweet
Pea says storming into my trailer. Finally today is the day of my initiation to becoming a proper Serpent.
For my initiation I've been having to look after 'The Beast' also known as Hot Dog, today I recite the serpents laws and stick my hand in a snake tank to retrieve a knife. Finally I have to do the serpent dance
"Damn you look good"
"Shut it Pea" I shake my head
"He's only speaking the truth El" Fangs says I'm wearing leather pants with a red crop top and my thigh high boots. I follow Sweet Pea and Fangs out of my trailer. We turn up at the Whyte Wyrm, greeted by Tall Boy and my dad
"Hey princess are you ready to recite the laws?"  My dad says
"Definitely" I walk over to a stage, the others watching me. Tall Boy comes over to the stage
"What is the first law?"
"No serpent stands alone"
"What is the second law?"
"If a serpent is killed or imprisoned their family will be taken care of"
"What is the third law?"
"A serpent never sheds its skin"
"What is the fourth law?"
"No serpent is left for dead"
"What is the fifth law?"
"A serpent never betrays it's own"
"And finally what is the sixth law?"
"In unity there is strength" everyone then repeats the law
"You know the laws but can you retrieve the knife?" Someone takes off the blanket covering the snakes tank. I look over at my friends and stick my hand in, I grab the knife just as the snake bites me. I pull the knife out and hold it in the air. Everyone cheers and claps now finally it's time for the Serpent dance. I walk over to the pole and the music starts playing. I start to take off my clothes revealing black lace lingerie and I do the dance. Once again everyone claps and some whistle
"Yes Ella" Sweet Pea yells then whistles, I roll my eyes smiling
"Congratulations Ella. Welcome to the Serpents" I'm given a jacket to put on.
After the initiation I decide to go for a drive to sweet water river. Once I have arrived I sit down looking up at the stars, no more than 10 minutes later I hear the sound of a bike. I turn around and see Malachai and two of his bitches
"Hey there sweet cheeks" he walks over to me as I stand up crossing my arms
"What the hell do you want?" I ask
"I saw you leave the Wyrm and wondered if you wanted a bit of fun?" He smirks at me
"Ha in case your blind but I got my jacket. Fuck you"
"Wouldn't be the first time baby" he grabs me by the waist.

"Come on no one will know" Malachai says laying me down on the grass
"I don't know baby"
"You don't have your jacket yet and we've done it before so there's nothing to worry about" he starts kissing my neck then taking off my clothes

"Come on baby" he starts taking off my jacket
"Get off me" I pull away bringing my jacket back up
"Oi leave her alone" I look over and see Toni, Fangs, Sweet Pea and some other Serpents
"Oh Princess you really needed back up. Maybe your not the Serpent you......"
"Shut the fuck up Malachai" I get out the switch blade I keep in my boots and put it up to his neck
"This isn't over" he threatens me
"Oh I think it is" they walk off and I go over to the others "I didn't need your help. I am capable of handling things myself"
"Sure Princess lets go" Sweet Pea puts his arm around me but I shrug it off and walk over to my bike. As I get closer to the house I see my farther being arrested. 'Jughead' is all I think, I turn my bike around and head to the high school where there's a school dance or something going on. I run into the school and see Archie with two girls arguing, one is Betty
"Archie where's my brother? Where's Jughead?" I ask panicked
"What are doing here El? Errm I think he's in the hall why?"
"It's dad"
"What's happened is he...." just as Archie was about to say something Jughead comes through
"Guys? Ella what are you doing here" I swallow hard with tears in my eyes. Yes Jughead and I aren't that close anymore but he's still family
"Its dad he's..." before I am able to say
"Are we going to brush over the fact...."
"Oh my god will you just shut up and listen to me" I yell at Betty "dads been arrested"
"What?" Some adults walk in one I recognise as Fred, Archie's dad
"I'm sorry Jughead he's been arrested for the murder of Jason Blossom. He's confessed" we all run out of the school
"Jug get on" I say as I get on my bike
"Wait. I might have an idea" Archie says "meet me and my mum at pops tomorrow. Noon"
"Fine I'll see you then" I turn my bike on
"El where are you going?"
"Doesn't concern you" I say then sped off to the Whyte Wyrm.

I park up and walk inside, I see Fangs and Sweetpea playing pool while Toni is behind the bar. I walk over to the boys
"What's got your underwear in a twist"
"I'm not in the mood Sweetpea" he holds his hands up in defence. I get up on the pool table
"All right listen up" I shout. Everyone turns to look at me
"My dad. FP has just been arrested for the murder of that blossom kid. If any of you know information on who really killed him speak now or so god help me if I find out one of you were holding back information" it's silent "for now me and Tall Boy will be in charge got it" everyone nods. Sweetpea and Fangs help me down, I walk over to Toni
"Hey can I crash at yours tonight?"
"Sure"
