I think many of us, maybe the entire town had been hoping against hope that somehow Jason Blossom hadn't drowned. That the Northsiders would go to school on Monday morning and Jason would be there. But now he's a corpse with a bullet hole in his forehead.

"Miss Jones for the third time today please put your phone away" I roll my eyes at Mr Philips "oh and you can see me after class for that eye roll" I groan folding my arms on the desk with my head down. I can hear Fangs laughing in front of me
"can it Fangs" I say kicking his chair
"Miss Jones" Mr Phillips warns
"Princess" Sweet Pea whispers next to me
"What?"
"Wanna skip the rest of the day?"
"Met me on the bench at the field"
"Miss Jones I won't warn you again"
"What? Sweet Pea was talking as well. This is bull"
"Ella Jones" I groan once again.
Finally the bell goes and everyone leaves for lunch. Mr Phillips closes the door then leans on his desk
"Firstly. You carry on the way your acting in class I won't help you"
"Help me? I think it's more like I'm helping you" I scoff
"Ella have you thought about what we spoke about yesterday?
"Yes" I say folding my arms
"And?"
"Fine I'll do it. But not now"
"I'll see you at the end of school"
"No I can't do that either. I'm meeting my brother. We can start next week" I get up and walk out heading over to the Serpents table in the hall
"What's up shitfaces" Toni laughs at me
"Back at ya. What happened with Mr bore?"
"Nothing just told me to stop texting in class. Anyway what are we looking at?"
"That blossom kid. The sheriffs son apparently found him" Fangs says showing me the laptop.

"Jug I'm here what do you want?" I say sliding into the booth at Pops
"Come see Archie with me?"
"What why?"
"He's sleeping with his music teacher"
"Ok and?" I shift in my seat
"El we need to talk some sense into him"
"Jesus your really wasting my time you know"
"Ella please he listens to you"
"Whatever Jug. He's a Northsider I'm not. Neither are you. Just come back home with me and dad"
"I don't want to be involved in that gang. Heck you shouldn't be"
"They're family Jughead"
"And so was Archie and his dad at one point"
"This is nothing to do with me" I start to raise my voice
"Ella please" I sigh
"Fine let's go" we walk over to Archie's house, but he's not in "see waste of time" I go to turn around but he pulls me back and makes me sit down on the steps. We wait for what seems like ages.
"Jughead? Ella?"
"I saw you Archie. With Miss Grundy in the music room" Jug says standing up
"Keep your voice down" Archie whisper yells
"We're trying to help you" I stay silent
"How long? You and Grundy?"
"Jug" I sigh
"Since the summer" I look at Archie
"So what? You needed extra curricular?" I ask
"No it's not like that. I like her" Jughead scoffs
"So is that why you've been acting weird?"
"Kinda. We were at Sweetwater river on July 4th"
"Shit" I breath out putting my hand to my head "I gotta go"
"What El?"
"I can't know anymore. If I do I could get done and put away for a very long time. I'm sorry" I leave the boys watching me walk. I turn the corner to see bulldogs
"Hey aren't you Serpent scum?"
"I'm leaving keep your wigs on"
"That's right leave your not wanted here" I roll my eyes walking back over the bridge to the South side going straight over to Sweet Pea's.

"So you coming to the drive through later?" Sweet Pea asks as we're lying in his bed, his arm around me while I'm laying on his chest
"Yeah dad wants me to keep an eye on Juggie. I best go home and get dressed"
"Or we could..."
"No Sweet Pea. I'll see you later"
"At least let me pick you up"
"Fine" I get dressed and walk over to my trailer bumping into Toni on the way
"I guess you've been with Sweet Pea again from the look of your clothes"
"Shut it Toni"
"Nothing to be embarrassed about" she smirks at me
"I'm not embarrassed" I shout "I just don't do feelings"
"Yeah yeah. Go get changed and I'll met you at the drive in"
