Chapter 30

"Hey Princess Malachai misses you said he can't wait to see you in the water at Sweetwater river when he gets out"
"Shut the hell up JC" I push him into a locker. I haven't had to deal with the Ghoulies since the race but JC and some of the younger Ghoulies were let out early as they weren't entirely involved with the race
"Temper temper is old Sweet Pea not doing it for you anymore? Maybe I can help with that" I let him go
"You're disgusting you know that?" I hit him across the jaw and walk off to the Serpent meeting meeting room
"Hey where have you been?" Fangs asks
"JC and some of the other Ghoulies are out"
"Did he touch you?" Sweet Peas asks
"Yeah but don't worry I gave him something to remember me by" I lift up my hand that is bright red
"Baby come here" Pea sits on the table while I sit on the chair. Pea takes my hand and begins wrapping it up. Suddenly in walks Jugehead, Betty and Alice
"Whats she doing here?" I whisper
"I have no clue" he whispers back
"I asked jughead to thank you for me but I reconsidered because I wanted to do it myself. So thank you for what you did I also wanted you to hear it directly from me that I am done attacking and disavowing the Southside" I look at Pea who's smiling while holding my bad hand in his rubbing it with his thumb "it's where I'm from and I should be proud of that and from now on I will be, and like my daughter I will fight tooth and nail for it"
"You know what. Things are starting to look good again" I say taking out an orange out of my bag and starting to peel it.

Over the course of the afternoon  Kevin held the auditions for Carrie the musical. Cheryl also insists that I try out for the Vixens with Toni.
I walk into the theatre with Fangs
"I'm surprised you didn't audition you have an amazing voice"
"I'm not used to singing in front of crowds"
"But you sing at the Wyrm all the time"
"I just didn't fancy it that's all"
"Ok what's the real reason?" Fangs stops me before we get on stage
"I guess it's just we've only just got to the school and are only now being accepted by Cheryl and Reggie. I dunno I just don't want to cause more arguments or tension. Now come on Kevin's waiting" we walk up to the stage where everyone is sitting
"Welcome to Carrie the musical" Kevin says
"Hey Fangs, Ella" Jughead says as we sit down. I get out an orange from my bag and start peeling it
"Ok introductions"
"I'm Archie. Playing Tommy Ross, the boy next door
"I'm Betty. I'm playing Sue Snell, the good girl"
"Veronica Lodge, playing mean girl Chris Hargensen" of course Cheryl has to stand up and make a big entrance
"I'm Cheryl Blossom and I'm playing the iconic role of Carrie White" Ethel coughs saying 'tone deaf' I just sit and role my eyes
"Who's playing your mum. Margret White?" Ethel asks
"I am" I turn around and see Alice Cooper walking towards us
"Mum?" Betty says confused
"Wait seriously. I thought that's why Ella was here she looks old enough to play the part and she's the only one of us that's been pregnant" Josie says folding her arms
"Wanna say that again little miss pop star has been" I say standing up
"Happy to"
"Ok settle down" Kevin says trying to keep the peace. Fangs takes my hand and guides me back to my seat "I know it's untraditional but to me there's nothing more amateur than age inappropriate casting"
"I'm really looking forward to getting to know who this woman is you know get under her skin and of course spend some quality time with my daughter Elizabeth" Alice says. The door opens to reveal Chuck Clayton
"Ugh sorry I thought the rehearsal was in the music room" he says
"No problem all are welcome" Kevin says, I look around to see everyone shocked and some even annoyed
"Guys come on. I know chuck was a dick but hey we forgave Archie for pulling a gun on me, Fangs, Pea and Jagger"
"Still bringing that up again are we" Veronica sighs
"I'm just saying. If we can forgive Archie we can at least try and be nice to Chuck. I know what he did to you was wrong Veronica, but hey you gave the Serpents a chance after we showed up at Archie's and well ya know" I move my chair around and let him pull up a chair next to me
"Ok so what is Ella actually doing here if not to play the mum" Josie says
"I'm actually going to be doing your hair, makeup and costumes so I suggest you be nice or else I will....."
"Ok" Kevin claps his hands "act 1 scene 1"
"Actually before we begin" Cheryl stands up "I've heard whisperings that some of you ensemble vultures don't think I'm fit to play or sing the role of Carrie white" she looks back at Josie
"No" Josie says shaking her head
"You know Josie your making it really hard to even be ok to be in the same room as you" I fold my arms
"Anyway to settle this matter once and for all... maestro"
"Ughhh ok Cheryl" Kevin starts but is interrupted by Cheryl singing 'Carrie' when she's finished Toni is stood up clapping while the rest of us automatically clap along. I mean she's good but was that really necessary?
"Well I think I speak for everyone when I say that was undeniable" Kevin says. Cheryl starts to walk back to her seat but is nearly hit by a sand bag.

I walk out the bathroom with Toni who's smiling
"What?" I ask her
"Oh nothing. You'll find out soon" I look at her confused but she passes me some gum and takes my arm in hers walking me to Peas locker
"Hey babe"
"Hey" I go on my toes and kiss him
"How was rehearsal?"
"Well Josie is close to getting her ass kicked and Cheryl was nearly hit with a sand bag so I'd say pretty normal for Riverdale"
"Wait hold up what happened?"
"Ughh Josie was just trying to get under my skin as usual. She hates me and I don't know what I've done to her"
"I mean you do retaliate back" Toni says folding her arms
"Uh yeah because she keeps eyeing up Pea and making comments about me"
"Well I'm yours no one is ever going to catch my eye" I smile at him "your mine"
"And your mine"
