Chapter 32

I'm stood with my dad, Jughead, Sweet Pea, Fangs and Toni at Midges funeral. As Cheryls singing I begin to cry, Pea squeezes my hand. I know Midge and I weren't actually that's close but it's still upsetting, she was so kind to everyone she didn't care who you were, Serpent or Northsider. She had congratulated Pea and I while I did her hair before the musical. She was so excited for us.

After the funeral the Serpents that attended all head to the Whyte Wyrm before once again being asked to come into the police station, because for some reason we are being blamed for her death *insert dramatic eye roll*
"Like I told you before, I last spoke to her when I did her hair and makeup. I don't know who would have done something like this. I only checked on her because no one else would, Northsiders have a weak stomach"
"But Southsiders don't?"
"No. Have you seen where we live? I've never killed someone or hurt someone to the point of them blacking out but I've seen things sheriff Keller. You do remember that the Ghoulies live in the Southside as well don't you?"
"Yes Miss Jones I'm well aware, but most of them are still in prison for street racing"
"Like you said most. So why isn't JC being hauled into the station?"
"Look Ella I'm just doing my job"
"Can I go now? I've told you everything I know twice and I'm tired, I feel sick I just want to get home and crawl into bed"
"Of course Miss Jones. If you know anymore please come in and tell me" I sigh and stand up. I walk out and see Pea waiting for me by his truck
"Hey baby you ok?"
"Just tired. Come on let's go" I smile at Pea as he opens the door for me.

Back at school and everything feels wrong. Everyone is scared and sad. Pea, Fangs and I walk passed Midge's locker in order to get to mine, her locker now full of notes, pictures and candles. Once we arrive at my locker I sigh opening it up
"It just scares me you know. Bringing a baby into this world when there's a killer on the loose"
"Hey whoever it was will be caught right fangs?"
"Err yeah of course they will"
"And if you don't feel safe once the baby is born we can run away. Just me, you and our little one" Pea rubs his hands up my arms and leans down to kiss me. I kiss him back before being interrupted by none other than Josie
"Hey guys I just wanted to know if you all wanted to come to pops later. Maybe it will help us all heal a little"
"I dunno Josie are you going to try and flirt with my boyfriend?" I ask her folding my arms
"No and I'm sorry if I ever came off that way, fresh start?" I look at Pea who shrugs
"Fine. But I swear Josie if you so much as try it with Pea I will...."
"Yeah ok come on crazy pregnant lady let's go to our meeting" Josie giggles as Pea drags me away with Fangs
"I'm not a crazy pregnant lady" I pout
"Sure. Come on Jugheads probably waiting for us" we arrive in our usual room, Sweet Pea sits on a desk as I sit on the chair in between his legs while peeling an orange
"That's literally the only thing I smell theses days. You know our trailer just smells of oranges" wait did Sweet Pea just say our trailer? I mean when the baby is born it does make more sense to fully move in together. We could decorate the room sky blue with white clouds or a light green with animals to make it look like a jungle. It doesn't matter then if the baby's a boy or a girl, maybe add a little pink somewhere in the room, I'm completely agains blue being for a boy and pink for a girl guys can like pink.

"El what are you thinking?" Fangs asks pulling me out of my day dream
"Huh? Oh nothing don't worry" I smile realising that Jughead and Betty were now in the room
"Ok so. War Baby called my father and I from Shankshaw"
"How is he?" I ask. War Baby and dad used to be good friends. He used to help look out for Fangs Toni, Pea and I when we were younger. Kinda like an older brother, that is until he was caught dealing drugs for Penny Peabody
"He's good. Asked how you were, I haven't told him about the baby I'll let you tell him" I smile at Jughead. I haven't visited War Baby in such a long time, I guess I've just been really distracted lately. Maybe I should go and visit "Ella all the Ghoulies have been released. All of them" I place a hand over my stomach as Pea stands up as if this would protect my little Pea "word on the street is they want Serpent blood. They're gunning for a rematch. Apparently Malachai wants El to join the Ghoulies" everyone looks at me
"No chance" I say
"El and I will leave if we have to" Pea says
"I know but it won't come to that I..." the doors bust open interrupting Jug
"Which one of you reptiles was screwing Midge Clump?" Reggie walks in with the rest of the bulldogs angry
"What the hell?" I breath out
"What's going on?" Jug moves over to me, standing in front of me "this is a privet meeting"
"I'm guessing it was you Sweet Pea. What did you knock her up and get scared that your little slut would find out and kill her as well" I begin to stand up
"Reggie that's enough" Archie tries to stop him
"Hey" Pea now stands in front of me also "you ass I didn't even know Midge. I love El more than anything, I would never cheat on her. But yeah I get why she wouldn't want fleas from you mangy bulldogs" this causes Reggie to push Sweet Pea
"Hey that's enough" I shout getting between them both
"Ella move" Pea says
"No I'm not letting you get suspended. I kinda need you to finish school Pea. And you" I point to Reggie "get a grip and stop projecting the hate you have for your self onto others. And I swear call me a slut one more time and I will drop kick you so hard"
"Get out of my way" Reggie says. I fold my arms "now" Reggie pushes me and I loose balance causing my to fall on the floor I land on my hip luckily not on my stomach
"You idiot she's fucking pregnant" Pea shouts pushing Reggie back and immediately going to me. Toni and Pea help me up
"What? I.. I didn't know El I"
"Get out" Jughead says
"I'm sorry. Are you ok?" He tries to walk over to me
"Don't come near me"
"Let's go Reggie" Kevin says
"I didn't know I'm sorry"
"Just go. Please" my eyes begin to tear. The bulldogs leave and I sigh
"Are you sure your ok? Do you need to go and get checked out?" Pea asks
"No I landed on my hip I'll be fine. I'll probably have a bruise but I'll be ok" Pea wraps me up in his arms "did you mean what you said. About loving me more than anything?"
"Of course I did Princess" Pea kisses the top on my head.
