Chapter 33

After school Pea and Fangs come over to the trailer
"You boys want anything to eat?" I ask as I put some bread in the toaster
"No just a coffee please" Jughead says from the table
"Hey you go sit down I'll do this" Sweet Pea says before he kisses my shoulder. I walk over to the table and sit down
"I need to tell you guys something" Fangs says
"Ok?" I say looking at a terrified Fangs
"What's up brother?" Sweet Pea says slapping his shoulder
"It's bad. It's really bad"
"Whatever it is we can fix it" I say
"No. You can't. No one can"
"Talk to us" Jug says
"On the opening night of Carrie when you were backstage filming the documentary and you found me in Midges dressing room..."
"Wait what? That's where you were?" I say
"Yeah. Errr I wasn't just giving her notes"
"Oh. My. God. You were hooking up?" I say when realisation dawned on me
"Why didn't you tell us?" Pea asks handing me my toast to which I now lost my appetite for
"You didn't tell sheriff Keller did you?" Jug rubs his hands over his face "Jesus Fangs you know how guilty this makes you look?"
"I know. I know"
"Damn it Fangs" I run my hands through my hair
"Fangs I gotta ask. Did you do it?" Jughead asks
"Of course not. You gotta believe me. You believe me don't you" Fangs looks at Pea and I
"I believe you. I know you Fangs. You threw up when we saw that dead cat. There's no way you would be able to kill someone especially not that way" I take Fangs' trembling hand in mine "we will figure this out. Jug the footage on your camera. Can you delete it?"
"No. I already gave the footage to Sheriff Keller as evidence" Jug pinches the bridge of his nose with his fingers
"Damn it" I breath out
"What do I do?"
"Nothing. Lay low" Jug says
"Serpents got your back" Pea puts his hand of Fangs' shoulder
"Serpent Laws 1 and 6" I say
"No Serpent stands alone" Sweet Pea sighs
"In unity there is strength" Jughead says. We all take each others hand repeating the law
"I'll make some calls figure out what to do" I say standing up grabbing my Serpent Jacket
"Where are you going?" Jughead asks
"Whyte Wyrm. Dad office, he's got numbers in there"

After making what felt like hundreds of phone calls I got nowhere. It's the next day and Im at my locker door with Pea
"Can you believe them. Putting this circle on all the locker doors. It makes me wanna punch every single one of them"
"I know Pea but remember what I said. I need you to finish school with me. I need to you to be able to get a good job so we can look after our baby"
"I know it just makes me so angry" Toni and Jug run up to me and Pea
"What's going on?"
"You haven't seen?" Toni asks scared
"Seen what?" Pea asks
"The video of Fangs has been leaked. It makes him look guilty as sin"
"Shit" I shut my locker door "where is he?"
"Attention students this is Principal Weatherbee. I need Fangs Fogarty to come to my office immediately"
"We need to find him. Now" I say starting to walk quickly down the hall crashing into someone as I turned the corner
"What the hell? This video is every where. How did it get out?"
"We don't know but we gotta get you out of here" I grab his hand and start pulling him down the hall
"Your dead vixen killer"
"Shit" I breath out looking at Reggie coming down the stairs with the bulldogs. I turn around and start to walk the other way but end up seeing the new Sheriff
"Mr Fogarty we need you to come with us"
"I didn't do anything" Fangs calmly says before turning to walk away but Reggie has caught up. Fangs tries to run but is caught and slammed into a locker, I watch as his switch blade falls out of his pocket and Fangs is immediately thrown on to the ground
"Damn it Fangs" I say "we'll sort this" I turn to walk out but Sweet Pea stops me
"What are we going to do?"
"I have an idea but the less people who know about it the better. Come on" I pull Pea out of the school with me to the Whyte Wyrm. That night while we were trying to come up with the plan Hog Eye runs in
"Princess we have a problem"
"What?" I say standing up following Hog eye "who the fuck trashed our bikes?"
"The dark circle"
"I swear Archie will be buying us all new bikes" I take my phone out my pocket and call Jughead who said he will deal with it but needs me to meet him at the station tomorrow after school.

I wait for Jughead to show up. When he does I see him with Josie's mum
"I'll be Fangs' lawyer. I'm gonna do my very best"
"Ok. I trust you. Jug I have a plan for when he gets out"
"Ok let's go and help our friend" we walk into the station ignoring the other cops. We finally make our way to the room that Fangs is being interrogated in
"Don't say another word. I'll be representing Mr Fogarty from here on out and I'd appreciate it if you would stop harassing my client" we go back to Fangs' cell "your being held because you were in possession of a weapon on school property"
"My switch blades for protection. The Ghoulies are out and after our blood"
"Yes well they have 24 hours to make something stick. In the meantime you exercise your right to remain the hell silent"
"Fangs. I've contacted Joaquin, he's arriving in 24 hours to take you into hiding. Your gonna be ok"
