Chapter 7

I wake up the next day on the floor in Toni's room. I get up to see Toni already dressed
"Here borrow my clothes today" Toni throws a shirt and jeans at me
"Thanks. What time is it?"
"11:45"
"Shit. I gotta go. I'll speak to you later" I get dressed and leave to go to Pop's.

Once I arrive I see Jughead, Archie and his mum
"Hey sorry I'm late, slept in"
"It's fine. So I looked into your fathers case and I went down to the station. Unfortunately because of the issues before, that tip and the possession of the weapon and now that confession it's not looking good. He wouldn't budge from his story" Archie's mum says. I sigh
"Damn it"
"Well if nothing else at least he's an honest Murder" Jughead says smiling. I frown at him
"You dick. He didn't kill anyone"
"And how do you know that?"
"Oh fuck off Jughead, maybe if you were involved with the Serpents more you would see that"
"I see you got your jacket"
"Yeah I did and I'm proud of it" I stand up and leave them to finish up their conversation. I get on my bike and head over to Sweet Peas. I keep going here when somethings wrong. I don't know why but it just makes me feel better being with Pea.

"El what are you..." He says answering his door
"Shut up are you alone?"
"Erm yeah dads on a job and.." I shut the door behind me and take off my jacket, I grab him and go to his bedroom. I then take off my, or should I say Toni's shirt
"Anger sex got it" he says taking off his clothes
"Shut up and kiss me" I say as he pushes me on the bed.

I start to get dressed as Sweet Pea watches me
"What are you looking at?" I ask looking back at him
"You. Why don't you do relationships?"
"What and you do?" I raise my eyebrows at him
"Well I..." he's cut off when my phone rings I look at the name, Archie, I answer it
"What? I'm on my way" I walk out his room and pick up my jacket, Sweetpea following me
"Where are you going?"
"To sort out some business. I'll see you later" I walk out and head over to my bike and ride over to Archie's. I walk through the door
"Where is he?" I yell and see Joaquin sat on a chair
"We know FP used his call from jail to you. What did he say?" Archie asks
"He just said to lay low" I rub my hand on my forehead and turn around groaning
"No one uses their one call to tell someone to lay low" a brunette girl says with her arms folded
"Joaquin do you know something. I'm not asking as your boyfriend I'm asking as the sheriffs son. Did FP kill Jason"
"Yes" I spin around
"Bullshit"
"I mean I assume"
"You know he didn't my dad isn't like that. Yeah he's a screw up but he's not a murderer"
"Did you see him pull the trigger?" Brunette asks
"No no god no"
"Then why do you think he did it?" Archie asks
"On July 11th I got a phone call in the middle of the night from FP. Said he needed help with some cleanup job at the Whyte Whyrm" he sighs and I have tears in my eyes
"I met FP in the basement" I frown
"The basement is off limits for everyone including me" he looks up at me with a sorry look
"that's where I saw Jason he'd been shot. I never asked FP if he did it I just assumed. We stashed the body in the freezer, cleaned up the mess and got rid of any evidence"
"You are a criminal" Keller says
"FP has done jobs for my dad before do you think this could be one of them?" The girl asks
"I dunno. I over heard him and mustang talking, he was the only other person who knew about the clean up. He said something about some rich guy I don't know who"
"Where is Mustang now?" The brunette asks
"Woah little lady. You don't want to get involved with Mustang" I say
"Yes I do"
"No you don't. Let me deal with him" I say shooting back at the brunette
"If you don't let us do this I'll..."
"Tell my dad about your little clean up" shit I can't let Joaquin go down as well
"Fine Joaquin I'm leaving you in charge of them I've got a job I need to do" I say to him. I turn to look at the girl "but if he beats the shit out of you don't say I didn't warn you" I walk out and get on my bike and head over to the Whyte Wyrm. I walk over to the bar where Toni is
"The usual please Toni" she hands me a cup and fills it up
"Long day?"
"You know it" I take a sip "I'm so fed up of us having the blame for shit all the fucking time"
"I know same here" I sit watching the boys play pool while I drink my drink. I get a text of Archie

From Archie
Joaquin's left and Mustang's dead- overdose

To Archie
Damn it your in deep now!

From Juggie
Might have found evidence that dad didn't kill Jason I'll let you know more soon

I put my phone away and get up. I walk over to the pool table and stand up
"Joaquins left. I don't no where so don't ask. Mustangs dead, overdose. That's all I know" I get down with the help of Fangs
"Damn it El things are going to shit"
"No. Just chill, Juggie might have found some evidence" Sweet Pea walks over to me
"So what we just sit back and wait"
"Yes sweets we sit back and wait" I finish my drink. I go back over to the bar, Toni pours me another drink as I sit down. Sweet Pea, Fangs and Toni all looking at each other.

Three rounds of pool and two more drinks later and my phone rings
"Jughead..... are you serious? Oh thank god.... what now?.... ok" I put the phone down
"It's wasn't dad who killed Jason..... it was his own father"
"Why did your dad confess?"
"He was threatened. If he didn't confesses Clifford Blossom was going to...." I swallow
"What's going to what?" Toni asks
"He was going to kill me and Juggie" a tear leaves my eye as Sweet Pea, Fangs and Toni hug me. The rest of the serpents watching in a circle as if to support me.
