Chapter 15

I'm walking down the hall with Fangs and Sweet Pea still feeling a little ill
"So Whyte Wyrm later?" Fangs asks
"Yeah I need to teach this one how play pool properly, she keeps loosing her money on bets"
"Hey shut it" I playfully hit Sweet Pea
"Maybe one day she will actually beat you and win back her money" Fangs says
"I pay her back in different ways"
"Pea" I whine while the boys laugh at me. I stop in my tracks when I notice Archie talking to Jug "What the hell is Archie doing here?" I say quietly but before I get an answer the doors bust open with the cops and dogs "what the...." both Sweet Pea and Fangs instinctively get in front of me. We then turn to run but we're all pushed against lockers
"Hey leave her alone" Sweet Pea saying trying to get free. I watch as Jughead leaves what the fuck Jughead?

After getting back from the station once again I end up back at home watching TV when Jug finally comes home to the trailer
"Where have you been?" I ask as he sits down
"Business"
"Meaning?"
"Don't tell dad but I spoke to the Ghoulies, well Tall Boy got me in and....."
"Woah what back up. You went to see the Ghoulies? And Tall Boy was there?" I glare at Jughead waiting for an answer
"I asked Tall Boy for help. Gave me an address, house of the dead the guy Malachai said" my face drops and I feel sick "Tall Boy wants the Ghoulies to unite with the Serpents" I stand up angry
"I swear to god Jughead you better have said no"
"Obviously but Tall Boy thinks he's the leader now. He said that if I agree then the others will too"
"Damn it Jug" I stand up and walk over to the kitchen table
"Also another thing. Malachai said that he misses you and to send his love. What the hell is he on about" I turn around with tears in my eyes
"Listen Jug it happened a long time ago"
"What are you on about?" He gets up and shouts at me. I swallow and sigh
"A few years ago, when dad was at his worst with the drink, I went out to Sweetwater river on my own. I had no idea he was a Ghoulie at the time, but we started to see each other. Then when I found out I tried to get away but...."
"But what el?"
"I thought I loved him so we would sneak around. Then he.. he got one of his men to take a photo of me and him together. It was sent to the Whyte Wyrm"
"What the hell Ella" Jug shouts as I cry more
"I'm sorry I didn't know at first and now I know he never loved me now I know I never loved him because I love Sweet Pea and..."
"Wait you love Sweet Pea" I breath in
"Yeah I.. I do"
"El I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm sorry I shouldn't have shouted" Jug pulls me in for a hug "does anyone else know?"
"Just you, Dad, Sweets and..... Tall Boy"
"What? He knew and now he wants to side with them? He's up to something" Jug whispers the last part.

Jug and Archie decided that they would challenge the Ghoulies to a race so now we're here. Sweet Pea sat on his bike with an arm around my waist while I'm leaning on him
"Let's do this" Tall Boy shouts. Malachai starts to walk closer to us, Sweet Pea tightens his grip as Fangs and Jagger step in front. Since telling Jughead what happened we thought it was best to tell the others, I expected them to all be mad at me but after proving that I'm loyal to the Serpents they all made a promise that Malachai wouldn't touch me again
"It's good to see you Princess. To bad you chose him over me"
"Fuck off. You manipulated her, this race is a lot more than just turf" Fangs spits
"If we win you leave El alone. No contact" Sweet Pea shouts. Malachai smirks, I turn my head to Sweet Pea and study his face. He's clenching his jaw
"Baby" I whisper and he looks at me
"He won't come near you Princess...... El? I love you" I smile wider than I ever thought possible
"I love you too" I kiss him to which the Serpents start clapping
"Was about time you said the four letters to each other" Toni says, I roll my eyes at her and laugh
"Shut it Topaz" Sweet Pea says smiling kissing me again. We watch at Cheryl waves a scarf in the air and the boys go, the Ghoulies and Bulldogs just stare at us
"I hate this so much" I whisper, Sweet Pea rubs circles on my hip with his thumb. They all begin to talk to their respected groups until Reggie has to pipe up
"So Ella thanks to you I don't have money coming in" I start to walk over to him
"Oh please you brought that on to yourself. I'm not having you drag me down just because your not discreet when selling drugs"
"Well you owe me...."
"Everyone scatter. The cops are rounding up Ghoulies" some Ghoulie shouts
"Come on come on we gotta go right now" Jug runs up to us
"You called they cops?"  Before I can hear the rest of the conversation Sweet Pea pulls me over to his bike
"Get on I'm taking you back to yours" I just nod and hop on to his bike.

Jughead arrives at the trailer not long after we get there
"Thanks Sweet Pea for keeping her safe" Jug walks over to us
"Well someone has to because you surely aren't. And what the hell man. You called the cops?"
"No I didn't Sweet Pea. It was Archie, thought he was helping"
"You've got to be kidding me" I sigh. A wave of nausea hits me
"I didn't know, anyway thanks again"
"Yeah well I've been doing it for the last 10 years. I'll see you later Princess"
"Bye Sweet Pea" I kiss him and watch him ride off
"El..."
"Jug don't. I don't feel good. I'm just gonna go to bed"
