"Should be right up ahead" I call out to Kiba as we dash through the trees. The large split tree appears in front of us "Thats it"

Kiba lands on the ground next to me, giving me a reassuring smile as we raised our hands to show the nin we mean no harm 

A lone shinobi approaches us, the scars on his face tell a story of a life of fighting but his eyes are kind "are you the shinobi from the Leaf Village"

I nod, reaching past Kiba to hand the Forest Shinobi the letter from Lady Tsunade "Yes sir"

the man glances at the letter and then back at my face "so you're his niece? You're a Wantanabe as well?" 

I nod "Yes sir"

He studies me for a second before nodding "well, come this way." waving us over to a small tent like pavilion 

Kiba's arm brushes against mine as he walks beside me, the nervousness in my stomach cant be muted but it calms considerably when he gives me a reassuring smile. 

The man opens and flap and we enter the tent. A small table is set up and around it sits 3 men, all grully and long scarred faces. 

Immeditely they turn their glaring eyes on me as we enter the room, they seem to be assessing me and sizing me up. One man even smirks.

A shiver runs up my spine and I try to ignore the uneasy feeling I get from these men. Luckily Kiba is here with me....

The man who showed us in breaks the silence "Shinobi from the Hidden Leaf, sent by the Hokage from our request"

Immeditely the man sitting at the head of the table turns and glares at the man sitting on his left "I TOLD YOU WE DIDNT NEED TO INVOLVE THEM IN THIS" 

The man to his left doesnt look surprised but returns the glare "IM NOT LEAVING MY DAUGHTER WITHOUT HER HUSBAND" he slams his hands on the table and stands up "Either you accept their help or I am writing to the Village Leader to have you removed from the Forest Shinobi Forces"

The sudden outburst surprise me and I can feel Kiba tensing behind me. He places a hand on my shoulder to reassure me.

"Listen" Kiba starts "Thats her uncle thats missing" he gestures to me before turning back to them "either you take our help or we go find him ourselves"

While Kiba talks I find myself studying the man on the left, son-in-law thats missing... he must mean Uncle Akida, which means he's...somehow related to me, family. 

Finally, after a another glare to the man beside him, the man at the head of the table looks up at us. "Rest up, we leave before the sunrise"

The man who brought us in quickly ushers us out the door and leads us to a place where we can rest. 

As we lay out our sleep pads Kiba watches the crude tent of command warily. I tried not to follow his gaze in fear I might meet eyes with that scary man from the table; I shiver just thinking about his cold, dark eyes and the peircing way he stared at me. 

"you got a weird vibe from them too, right?" I asked Kiba, and started petting Akamaru where he lay beside me. 

Kiba nods slowly as he studies soemthing before turning to face me, "I dont know exactly what it is but yeah"

I bite my lip nervously and nod, "ok then, lets just be really vigilant"
