Kiba finishes my hand and stands up, offering me a his hand up.

I slip my good hand into his and pull myself up, my left hand doesn't feel so bad but I know its the adrenaline hiding how much it actually hurts

"What was that? Did you see who attacked?" I question him, looking around

he shakes his head "all I saw was a shadow of some sort" he runs his hand through his hair, pushing it back "whatever it was it was powerful and we need to be careful, especially now that we are split up from our teams"

I nod tightening the straps on my bag "we should probably get out of here then"

"Akamaru go look for the others" Kiba commands, Akamaru barks and jumps off "we should probably stay on the ground, all that fire seemed to have affected mostly the trees so its safer to stay on the ground where there isn't smoke"

"I hope everyone else is ok" I say "but yeah you're right we should get going I would hate to meet whatever caused this"

"A little too late for that dearie" a cold voice cackles from behind us

Kiba puts an arm in front of me as he took a step forward to greet the person, the man was very muscular but he had burn marks that ran from his face to the tips of his hand, he wears all black with a blue scarf, his silver hair lies over his headband so I cant see what village he is from.

"Back off" Kiba snarls, drawing a kunai and getting into a fighting stance

I follow his example putting some shuriken in my good hand and putting a kunai in my bad one I'll probably have to use my shields, I'll wait till we really need it though this guy seems pretty strong

the man laughs as he draws a ninjato (a ninja sword from japan) and swings it "my team members are off hunting your friends, but I came here because I know you have two scrolls" he says that last part pointing to me

I gulp, I don't actually have scrolls anymore, Ronin and Norio have a set each cause we thought after that team of sand ninja which targeted me that we would mess with them and switch the scroll carrier

I cant let him know that though or he'll leave and go after them, I got this

I tighten the grip on my bag "you want them? come and get them you son of a bitch"

when did I get so cocky? I really have to watch my mouth

the man charges, I launch my shuriken and he jumps up to dodge them, I jump higher then him and spun, just as I was about to slam my knee into his abdomen his hand grabs my knee pulls me under,

I feel the air leave my lungs as his knee connects to my stomach, I start to fall towards the ground but Kiba jumps up and catches me "how are we going to do this?" he asks

"got any paper bombs?" I question

"yea look in my coat there should be a small pack"

I stick my hand into his inner coat pocket and pull out the pack "ok lets do this"

Ripping open the pack I stick some on Shuriken and kunai but hand two to Kiba

the man starts to charge again " you take these" I say quickly "get up close and put them on him, I'll distract him"

He nods

I turn towards the man and start launching shuriken and kunai, the man is strong but he is not very agile when being bombarded with small flying weapons, at least two stick into his arm

He swings his sword at me and I duck, rolling and landing on my bad arm crap

he comes up behind me and slams his sword down, I counter it with a kunai but he is still pushing down hard

my grip is starting to slip when Kiba yells "MOVE"

I roll to the side as he lands on the mans back with such force that he knocks the man over

He slaps the paper bombs on the mans back and stands up to jump away when the man grabs his leg and slams him into the ground

"KIBA" I grab some more shuriken and start launching them at the man, he throws Kiba into a tree and swats away the shuriken with his ninjato

"He's not the one I'm interested in dearie" the man laughs "hand over the scrolls"

at least he doesn't have Kiba anymore, if I can just get in-between them I'll be able to protect Kiba and fend off this dude, I wonder how much longer till Akamaru comes back

I channel chakra through my arm and slam it into the ground a few yards away from where the man was standing, causing the earth to shift and disrupt his feet

I jump in front of Kiba and pull out some more kunai, the man is still trying to recover himself from loosing his footing

I quickly shove my bag in between Kiba's arms, he is awake but looks like he's struggling to get up

"hey" I say holding his arm "it'll be ok just hold that" shoving the bag into him again

I turn and start charging towards the man 'if I can just catch him off guard'

I slash my kunai through his leg and dodge just in time before his sword came slashing down lets activate those paper bombs

I jump up behind the man and try to send some of my chakra to set off the paper bombs on his back

His sword slices towards me, I try to jump out of the way but his sword slashes across my thigh

I hiss in pain and try to slash my kunai at his sword arm but he dodges and kicks me in the back, pushing me into the ground

"Stop!" shouts Kiba, turning my head over I see him hobbling towards me

I spit dirt out of my mouth "Kiba no stop! stay back!" I yell, the man pushes his foot harder into my back pushing me more into the ground

"hand over the scrolls" he commanded, digging his foot harder into my back, he's a big dude so he has me completely trapped, my good arm is trapped under my body and my hurt one lays off to my side my shoulder hurts with the angle its at "I will kill her so hand them over"

"Kiba no" I grunt "stop" the foot digs into my back more "just get out of here"

"No Sayuri I'm not leaving you" he shouts back drawing a kunai

The man on me laughs and puts his sword against my neck, its icy coolness tickling my skin "I will kill her"

Pain flashed across Kiba's eyes as he froze "Sayuri" he whispered
