"So how did you guys get separated from your teams?" Sakura asked, leaning forward a little to peer around Kiba who I am walking right next to 

Sighing, I start to explain what happened 

"you know" Sakura says when I finished "I can help you practice how to stream your chakra and hold onto it without losing it"

"that would be so awesome Sakura Thanks!" I nod and she nods back, recently shes been acting more mature and training a lot more guess she isn't the same 11 year old girl she started off as

"So I guess now we just have to look for our teams" KIba adds sighing "it'd be a lot easier if they weren't in hiding"

or hurt  I gulp, but try to remain positive, I know Kiba is worried too but he's trying not to show it 

"we should go back to the place where you got split up" Sasuke says "I think every team would come to that idea once they got out of danger"

I nod slowly before looking up at Kiba "do you-?"

he shakes his head "no I have no idea"

Sakura raises an eyebrow 

"so um, we don't remember where we got split up" I start cringing as I said the words, Team 7 sweatdropped "like um, we know its somewhere about a mile out from the compound" I scramble looking for words "and umm, yeah I have no idea" I admit 

Kiba ruffles my hair and laughs "it'll be ok though, we are walking generally in the right direction"

I roll my eyes and take my headband off, the braid was coming out so I pulled out my tie and ran my hands through it before putting my headband back on, when I look up again Kiba was smiling at me again "what?" I ask smiling, still tightening the headband, he shakes his head 

"So" Naruto starts "if we just get to that place where you fought that old man then you guys will be able to trace it back?"

I nod, pulling my jacket around me tighter against the cool breeze of the night "yea its not too far from there, we could just follow the path of destruction back"

an hour later we arrived at the scene or what we assumed was the scene 

"was it this burned when we left?" I ask picking up a leaf and watching it crumble to dust 

Kiba shrugs 

"you guys are really bad at this whole observation thing" Sakura says rubbing her hand against her face 

"oh sorry" I say sarcastically "I lost my ability to breathe for a few minutes and completely drained my chakra and we just barely got away, you're right Sakura I should've stopped and taken a picture on my way out"

Sakura rolls her eyes and Sasuke chuckles 

"whats that?" Naruto asks, poiting to something a little further down the field 

I walk up to it and lean over it "it looks like something big was dragged"

"could it have been the man?" Kiba asks 

I shake my head "I dunno" I shrug my shoulders "but, it is headed in the same direction that we need to go"

"we are pretty close, maybe half a mile, when we were here this entire place was up in flames and we couldn't go back through" Kiba adds "I hope Akamaru is alright" 

I walk up next to him and take his hand "Im sure Akamaru is fine, he probably found the others and they are waiting for us"

he smiles "yea, I hope"

"we should start walking" Sasuke adds "its almost dawn"

we continue walking, following the drag trail until it stops suddenly, we took a quick look around but didn't explore any further, noting to be more careful 

we come to the small clearing where we first got split up 

we crouch behind some bushes, trying to ignore how unstealthy we were on our way here 

"does it look like anyone is here?" Sakura asks peering over the bushes 

I shake my head and continue to look around, trying to see in the shadows of the trees 

"how long are we going to sit here?" questions Naruto 

"at this point theres nothing much to do" I say "if they are here, chances are they are in hiding too so if we are all hiding and no one is making an attempt to reveal themselves to the other teams then we may be here for awhile"

"we should reveal ourselves" Kiba starts "we have the greater numbers " he gestures to Team 7 "so if anything went wrong we can defend ourselves"

Sakura nods "then you and Sayuri should go out, and we will provide cover"

I stand up slowly and nod towards Kiba 

"ok" he says, he grabs my hand and leads me out into the field, 

I cant ignore that he stands slightly in front of me he's doing it in a protective way. he feels like because he is older then me he has to protect me, I mean I guess that's what we've been doing for each other these past hours or does he- no nevermind 

the sun starts to rise over the trees and we stand there for a few minutes before I start to feel stupid but before I can say anything to Kiba there is motion in the tree line to my left. I nudge Kiba and we turn slightly 

Hinata slowly walks forward being trailed by Akamaru, in the tree line to my right another figure breaks out, Shino, he slowly walks over 

I turn around, scanning the tree line come on where are you guys, please come out

"Hinata, Shino, Akamaru, I'm glad you guys are ok" Kiba exclaims, wrapping them in a hug  

Akamaru is licking him and rubbing his snout against my leg in excitement 

I crouch down and pet his head while he licks my face "aww puppy kisses" I laugh 

"what kind of puppy weighs 250 pounds?" Kiba laughs 

I laugh and stand back up, dusting off my pants "Hinata, Shino, have you guys seen Ronin or Norio?"

"mm no I haven't, not since that big fireball came through" she said, she put a hand on my shoulder "I'm sure they are fine, they were standing right next to each other so they must be together" 

I nod "yeah I hope"

"we should go look for them" Sakura says 

I didn't even see them approach but I nod "yeah, the sooner the better, we are on what? day 3?"

I sigh 'Norio, Ronin, please be okay'

Kiba picks up my hand "Don't worry" he winks "we'll find them!"
