Chapter 9

I sat in my bedroom in silence. It was quiet in the house with no one around. I heard someone knock on the door. I was probably Courtney. I walked slowly down the stairs and opened the door. I couldn't believe it, it was Matt. "Hey!" Matt yelled as I tried to shut the door on him. He had stuck his foot in the doorway. I opened the door up again "What exactly do you want?" I asked annoyed. "I want to start over." He said. I thought about it. I'm going to give him another chance I decided. "Okay." I answered. I still didn't know how this one would end. "Hi my name is Matthew Espinosa but people call me Matt." He said putting his hand out. "Skyler." I said shaking his hand. He was acting so cute with his smile plastered on his face. "May I come in?" He asked. "Yes." I said opening the door.

We sat down on the couch and I turned on the TV. "So people were talking at school today about our kiss." Matt said. "Yeah." I said blushing a little. "I don't see what the big deal it was just a little kiss." Matt said. "I wouldn't say it was little." I said as he smirked.

"You know you liked it." He said winking. "Whatever Matthew." I said rolling my eyes. He pushed me down on the couch. "What are you doing?!" I yelled. "What did you call me?" He asked. "Matthew." I said confused. He started tickling me as I laughed my head off. "I don't like being called Matthew, just call me Matt." He said as he kept on tickling me. "O-okay!" I shouted laughing uncontrollably. "Okay what?" He asked. "Okay Matt!" screamed as he stopped. "That's better." He said kissing my forehead and getting off of me. This is the Matt I liked. I had somewhat of a faith in Matt, but at the same time I still didn't know.

"We should watch a horror movie." Matt said. "Okay." I replied even though I hate horror movies. "I like the movie A Nightmare on Elm Street." Matt said. "If that's what movie you want then okay." I said as I looked it up. It showed up, crap. I really hoped it wouldn't.

I watched the movie getting scared every second. Every time someone was killed I would jump off the couch. Matt watched it with no problem. "I'm going to get some snacks." I said making an excuse to leave. "Okay." Matt replied not moving his eyes away from the screen. I started popping popcorn so I would have two minutes and thirty seconds of not watching the movie. I grabbed a bowl and put the popcorn in it and walked back to the living room.

I sat down on the other side of the couch, but after a minute I found that I had scooted really close to Matt. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer. "it's okay." He whispered. "I would never let anyone harm you." I looked up at him and smiled. "I wish you were like this all the time." I said. "I will be like this from now on." He said confident. "Okay but if your kissing another girl again tomorrow the deal is off." I said. "Deal, but only if you don't kiss Shawn." He face turned serious. "I can't believe he did that. I thought I told him you were mine." Matt grumbled. I blushed a little. "You look so cute when you blush like that." He said causing me to blush even more.

"Okay no more kissing girls." I said to Matt as he started walked out the door. "No more kissing Shawn." He replied. "Deal?" I asked. "Deal." He answered. "I will try my hardest not to mess up." "Goodbye Matt." I said smiling. "Goodbye beautiful." He answered as I shut the door behind him.
