Chapter 13

"That's fine Skyler! Just keep running I don't care anymore!" Matt yelled and turned around. He had been chasing me for a while now, but I didn't care. I kept on running. I always kinda knew I was going to get hurt by Matt.

I stopped running when I saw Sammy. "Woah Skyler are you okay?" He asked hugging me. "Please help me Sam." I said crying in his shoulder.

I didn't make any eye contact with Matt for the rest of the day. I hated that I did that, but I let Matt hurt me and it's not going to happen again. "Why are you ignoring me?" He asked, he was getting pretty mad. I didn't say a thing. "I didn't do anything.. I swear." Matt said. Not a word came from my mouth.

Sammy and I started hanging out more and more, just like we used to. I could tell Matt didn't like it, but he always walked around and kept a smile on his face.

"Hey I heard Matt has a girlfriend." Courtney said. "Wow you really need to catch up, we broke up." I said. "No, he has a new one." "What?!" I shouted. Matt walked down the hallway holding hands with Haven. Great, the slut of the school. When I walked past them Matt pushed Haven up against the lockers and started making out.

"Hey Skyler!" Sammy said as he walked towards me. Now it was my turn, Matt and Haven had stopped. "Hey Sammy." I said grabbing the collar of his shirt and kissing him. Matt just looked at me in disbelief. "See you tonight Sammy." I said winking. Matt walked away scratching the back of his neck.

Today at lunch I was sitting across from Haven and Matt. "You know what we should do?" Haven asked. "What babe?" Matt asked. "Go on a double date!" She squealed. I didn't like this idea. "As long as Skyler doesn't chicken out." Matt said noticing that I didn't like the topic. "I won't Matt, if anything you will chicken out." I said sneering at Matt. "Tonight at eight at the new Italian restaurant." Haven said and we all agreed.

Sammy picked me up and we went to Matt's house to pick him and Haven up.

When we arrived at the restaurant and were placed at a round table. I sat in between Sammy and Matt. Matt kept on looking at me. "What?" I asked him when Sammy's head was turned. "You just look really beautiful." He said. I responded to his comment by rolling my eyes.

When we got our food I started eating, but I felt something on my thigh. I looked down and saw it was Matt's hand. I slapped it, causing Sammy to look at me. "Everything okay?" He asked. "Yeah I'm fine, it was just a bug." I answered and shoved another piece of chicken in my mouth.

Matt's hand found its way back on my thigh, but this time he kept on moving it closer and closer to my crotch. I looked at Matt, he winked at me. "Sammy, I need to get a breath of fresh air." I said pushing away from the table. "Okay but don't stay out there too long we are going to order dessert." Sammy answered. I nodded and left.

I stood outside trying to calm down. "Hey babe." Matt said wrapping his hands around my waist. I pushed his arms off and turned around. "Lets finish what we started in the restaurant." He said leaning in. I didn't know what to do so I stood there frozen in my place. He was centimeters away from my face when he was suddenly pulled away. "Get off of her!" Sammy yelled at Matt. He had Matt pushed up against the wall. "Don't you ever do that again! Understand?" Matt nodded.

Sammy let go of him and we all left. "Sorry about that Skyler." Matt said while we were in the car. "I'd hate to interfere with you relationship." He said smirking.

Sammy dropped me off last and I softly kissed his lips before I got out of the car.

I walked into my house, only to find my mom was home early. "Hey sweetie." She said with a smile. "Hey mom, I have to get to bed okay? I'm really tired." I said trying to get away from her. "Okay honey goodnight." She said and turned on the TV.
