Fiona wandered around the student center waiting for his call that he was here. She kept watching for cars lingering in front and wondered if any of them were him. She checked her phone repeatedly, tapping her fingers on the back of it.

There was a jazz show in one of the rooms, Fiona didn't participate much in school activities, but since she was there she peeked in and listened. It was getting closer to 6:30 and she second guessed herself again. She headed back out to the foyer.

Tom rang her phone, "Hey." She answered quickly.

"It's the student center right?" Tom clarified.

"Oh yeah, are you here?" She fixed her hair and looked out the front door.

"That's a nice jacket," he said.

"Where are you, there are no cars here?" She peered out the door. It was getting dark but she could clearly see the driveway loop from the door. She turned around confused.

To her surprise, Tom was standing a couple of feet behind her in the foyer. She couldn't contain her smile. Here he was in front of her, in her school, in real life outside of the coffee shop. Somehow he managed to look even more dapper under the florescent lights. He was wearing a plaid white and brown checkered shirt, with a black tank underneath. Tom, as usual, had on a thin necklace and a few wrist bands in addition to his Swiss black watch. His hands were in the pockets of his black baggy jeans as he continued to walk toward her.

"Wow," Fiona caught her breath and bit her lip nervously. She ran her fingers through her hair.

"You look rather ravishing," Tom said looking down at her. He was just as nervous as she was. He gave off the vibe of being overly confident in his movies and even on set but in real life he sometimes felt like a goof.

Fiona blushed, "Thanks. I figured you would just pull in and I'd run out. You didn't have to park and all."

"That wouldn't be very gentleman of me," Tom said with a laugh. The two walked towards the back door to the parking lot. Tom stepped ahead to open the door, his hand reached down to grab Fiona's as they proceeded to walk out and down the stairs to his car.

She didn't even have to guess which car was Tom's. It drew a lot of attention. It was an Audi r8 v10 in blue and black. He opened the passenger door for Fiona. She got in feeling underdressed for the car. She looked around it as he walked to the other side to get in. The car not only had two doors, but it also had only two seats, there was nothing behind her. Fiona did not want to touch anything and wondered if she should take off her shoes.

Tom hopped in and shut the door.

"This is a bit much huh? I've just loved cars and since I can afford one I needed to try it out." He confessed to Fiona from the driver's seat.

"I've definitely never been inside or around anything remotely this expensive. I feel like I should wear gloves," she half joked and half was serious. She second guessed what she was doing with a guy like Tom. And what was he doing with a girl like her. "I definitely feel under deserving of being in it's presence."

"You are beyond worthy, trust me," his hand gave Fiona's a squeeze. Fiona's heart beat faster at his touch.  "Also I'm renting it, I need a car while I'm here. And fair warning, the hotel is quite posh too. I am more laid back but it's where the studio put me up during the shoot, and I just didn't move out yet."

Fiona nodded, this would be an interesting night. She wanted to be with Tom but his world felt foreign to her. She was a simple girl; a trip to Olive Garden and a movie would have won her over.

They listened to the alternative music station on the radio as he drove the 5 miles to the hotel, which took about 35 minutes with all the L.A. traffic. It's funny he chose a sports car that was definitely meant to go fast, when nowhere in L.A. could you really go faster than 40 on the overcrowded streets. Fiona had to admit, the car was gorgeous to look at inside and out, and drove quite nicely.
