Tom caught up with some old friends for the next few weeks. He had failed to mention to Fiona that his best friend was actually a girl, Kelly. Seeing them together definitely sparked jealousy within Fiona; she wondered why they weren't a couple, to be honest. They had inside jokes that Fiona wasn't privy to. She was beautiful of course and Tom found her hilarious. Fiona sipped, or more so chugged, her Bramble gin and blackberry cocktail in front of her at the London pub.

"Kelly worked on the script for Bronson, she is partly to blame for my success," Tom explained, laughing.

"Blame? More like you're welcome," she threw a peanut at Tom.

"Fiona hates when I'm away," he laughed and put his arm around her. "She just loves me around all the time."

"I wouldn't say that," Fiona rolled her eyes with a smile. Truth was, she definitely didn't want him around right now. This narcissist, over the top Tom was quite a handful.

"Where have you even gone? It's been a quiet year, no?" She directed her question to Tom. Fiona felt like she was mostly there for them to brag about themselves. Fiona waved to the bartender for another cocktail.

Tom tried to hold back a laugh, "You're right, Fiona is going to be miserable."

Fiona thanked the waiter for her refill, but upon hearing that asked him to bring her another one shortly. She sucked on the straw almost nonstop until all that ice remained. Fiona felt the effects of the gin as she looked around the bar. She had an almost overpowering urge to make jokes that no one would get and would probably ruin the night.

Taking her phone out of her purse, she sent Callie a text. She counted back, it was only 4pm, how weird.

FIONA 9:23PM: I'm the third wheel to Tom's date right now….

The waiter swapped her glass out with a fresh one, without anyone else noticing. Fiona appreciated his discretion and made a note to give him an extra tip. She sipped at it a little more leisurely this time.

CALLIE 9:27PM: What? Who is he on a date with that's not you?

FIONA 9:28PM: His BFF Kelly. They're like the perfect couple. And I'm over here not knowing shit, downing alcohol and thinking this waiter isn't all that bad looking

CALLIE 9:31PM: It's his BFF, so they're not a couple. I'll take a British bloke. ;)

Fiona laughed a little too loud and drew attention to herself. She put her phone, screen side down, on the table and looked up to rejoin the conversation.

"That's why I got this tattoo," Tom said, referencing the feather quill on his left bicep.

Fiona stared at it and thought of how she would now always see this girl's face when she looked at it. When she's wrapped up in his arms, it'll be like they were in a group hug.

"I'll be right back," she stood up, slightly wobbly at first. She then power walked to the bathroom.

FIONA 9:35PM: I'm in the bathroom. I'm going to try to get a pic of the waiter!

CALLIE 9:36PM: I hope he's not in the bathroom with you! LOL. Please, don't let horny Fiona ruin her relationship.

FIONA 9:38PM: Shut up. He's not in the bathroom with me. I've only done that once.

CALLIE 9:40PM: Twice*

FIONA 9:40PM: ok memory police. I'm leaving the bathroom, back to my doom.

Fiona exited the bathroom, feeling like she'd been in there forever. She passed the waiter, who was waiting for the bartender to make him drinks for another table.
