Fiona spent a lot of time wandering their little South London town on her own. The city seemed a lot more spacious than New York, it wasn't just tall buildings and congested streets. Each establishment looked like it had been there for ages, the buildings were steeped in history.

Even though Tom swore he wasn't holding a grudge against her, he hadn't really spent much time with her since Max passed. On the off chance they went to sleep at the same time, Tom made sure to roll away from Fiona, at least until she was asleep. Most of the time, however, he stayed up late playing video games downstairs.

"Hey Tom, what does it mean by "overground" is that a train? Or is that a bus?" Fiona said from the chaise near the window.

"Train, why?" Tom asked, lowering the television. "What are you looking at?"

"Google maps. Thinking I may go to the city tomorrow," Fiona was about to add, since you're busy every day, but decided against it. Tom was suddenly occupied every day in some way or another. Since things were not quite back to normal yet, she was giving him all the space he needed.

"I can take you, it's quite a long ways by train," Tom offered. "Where did you want to go."

"Well if you're coming, maybe we can do the zoo, rather than site seeing," Fiona suggested. She did want to see wherever the queen lived and maybe catch a glimpse of Prince William or Harry, but she wasn't actually betting on that.

"Sure," Tom explained.

The next morning Fiona woke to find Tom already out of bed. She showered and got dressed, assuming he was making breakfast, which was unlikely since he hadn't done that once since they were there. The coffee pot was still hot, but Tom wasn't anywhere.

Pouring herself a mug, she saw Tom left her a note. She figured he was bailing on her after all.

Fi,
Had to leave early. Tomorrow, zoo.

She flipped it over, thinking maybe it continued on the back, which it didn't. There was no I love you, no I'm sorry.

Fiona checked her watch, it was still early, she didn't need to stay home all day. She decided to proceed to the train station and hop on the Overground into London. She was used to train rides, and 40 minutes was nothing, plus she was not in any sort of rush. She waited for an open double decker bus and sat at the top like a typical tourist, making notes of where she would visit after the tour.

The Tower of London was always on Fiona's bucket list, walking past the Tudor-style buildings made Fiona memorized. She was completely engrossed in learning even more about the tower and entire estate. Seeing where the famous Anne Bolyen was kept until her death was heartbreaking.

She grabbed a late lunch nearby before hopping on the train back to their home.
Her phone was flooded with photos of all the historic architecture. She scrolled through and sent a few to her mom who really didn't know much about the Tudors but she loved London.

Walking a few blocks to the Overground Fiona's phone died. She had hoped for some entertainment on the ride back but would have to settle for just the window landscapes.

The streets were bustling with people as Fiona walked the 5 minutes home. Fiona saw the affluent town as the perfect example of suburbia that she always dreamed of, it was far from the small, rural, farm town she grew up in. To get from Point A to Point B in her town would involve desolate back roads, but in Sheen there were sidewalks on both sides of the road and other people actually using them. Taking in the beautiful green lawns and the old brick homes, she almost walked right by her own suburban London home.

"Where have you been?" Tom shouted as she walked through the door.

Fiona stopped, nervously, in the sitting area between the door and living room where Tom was.
