Kurapika X Leorio - Behind the Scenes [a Hunter X Hunter fanfic]

14. Day 4 pt2

Kurapika POV:

It was later on in the day, around 6:30pm when I heard a knock at the door.

Leorio was too focused on his studies to notice so I walked over to the door and opened it.

On the other side of the door was a small woman. She had long brown hair and a smile on her face. She held a huge bouquet of red roses; I stared at her, my face was burning and my mind was racing.

Did Leorio have a girlfriend? At the Hunter Exam he always talked about his hook-ups and women. Tsk, to think he actually- but what about the kiss- what about-

She cut me off with her sweet voice. "Are you Kurapika Kurta?" She asked, still smiling ear to ear.

I felt my eyebrows rise in shock and I cocked my head to the side. How did she know my name?

I nodded in response to her question.

Her smile somehow grew wider.

"These are for you." She gleamed as she passed me the bouquet.

I took them, still confused. I looked her up and down and noticed her outfit. A uniform?

She handed me a card and it clicked. My face relaxed and I blushed. On the front of the card was the name of a local flower-delivering service. I smiled as all the doubts I had left my mind.

I flipped the card and saw the words: 'from Leorio.' I never knew I'd be this happy receiving flowers.

The girl perked up. "Please enjoy!" She bowed.

"Thank you!" I said, trying desperately to hide just how happy I was.

I shut the door and took a deep breath, mimicking the delivery girl's huge smile.

I turned around to see Leorio sat on the sofa with a cunning grin on his face.

"Wasn't that good? You had no idea I got you flowers!" He laughed.

In all honesty, I was pretty impressed, Leorio usually can't keep his mouth shut about these kinds of things.

"You totally didn't know!" he said, clearly proud of himself.

"Well done." I said casually as I strided over to him. Unable to contain my joy I quickly placed the flowers on a table and increased my pace towards him.

I crashed down on top of him, my knees were either side of his legs and my arms were around his neck. His hands were on my hips. We stared into each others eyes for a moment. I never noticed the yellow-tinted streaks in his dark brown eyes before.

He tightens his grip on my hips with encourages me to place a kiss on his lips. We pull away for a second then we instantly pull each other in for a deep hug.

"Thank you..." I said happily. He hugged be tighter.

"Hey." He whispered into my ear. "Wanna do something fun?"

I blushed, however, I felt my stomach drop, despite my immediate nerves, I remained in the hug.

"I told you I don't want to Leorio." I answered quietly.

He chuckled and pushed me away to face him. He removed one of his hands from my hip and caressed my cheek.

"Not that silly. I brought some makeup earlier and I think it'll be fun to try."

"Oh." I sighed, relieved. "Yeah, that sounds fun."

He gently flipped us over and stood up, beaming. "Wait here." he said all giddy and excited like a child showing their mother something.
