"He has finally asked me to be his date!" Kimberly shouted as she jumped to Ulanni sharing her good news.

"I told you to be patient" she replied as they were busy chatting in class

"I can already picture myself being the prom queen with him by my side" Kimberly mumbled already daydreaming.
"My mum heard you weren't coming and she's pretty upset"

"Well tell her I might change my mind" Ulanni said making Kimberly already excited

"I said I might" Ulanni said stoping her from jumping

"Well I will give her the message and I will tell kelvin too"

"Why will you tell kelvin?" Ulanni questioned

"Isn't it obvious? My brother likes you" she replied really cutting her off guard

"Are you sure about that?"

"Even a raccoon would've noticed" she said rolling her eyes
"And if you change your mind just give him a call" she ended it with a wink

"I can't believe it's today" Alex said as he wore his black suit chosen by Kimberly.

"Well I can't wait for this day to end" Ulanni said as she helped brush his suit with her hand

"You really sure you're not coming?"

"Well I'm dressed in a mini mouse pajamas and you are still asking me that" she replied passing him the comb
"Just do and come back let's continue with practice"

"Oh c'mon not today of all days"

"Fine tomorrow" she agreed then left the room giving him full time to view himself alone in the long standing mirror

"You look so lovely" Mrs Smith said as she took pictures while he slowly got down the stairs

"I've probably never told you this before but you are really handsome Alex" Ulanni commented and that coming from her mouth made him really nervous and also confident about his looks. He returned the compliment with a big smile on his face, and Mrs Smith didn't waste time to snap that moment.

"But Ulanni why aren't you coming?"She suddenly stopped with the pictures and asked her

"Yes, why? Your reasons are pretty corky to me" Daisy asked too as she and her mum waited for another better explanation. But then they could hear car horn from outside, it was Kimberly's driver ready to pick him.

"I guess I should get going and mum it's okay with the pictures" he laughed as he put down the camera and headed for the door.

*Forty minutes after Alex left and everyone continued with their activities, a gently knock disturbed their serenity.
"Goodevening madam, this is for Mrs Ulanni" a middle aged man said as he gave Mrs Smith a big package. Then she didn't waste time but called Ulanni downstairs to come get her gift when Ulanni saw it she was pretty surprised by that, they opened the box revealing a very beautiful shiny red gown that already shimmered in the house, blinding them with its beauty even daisy couldn't believe her own eyes. Ulanni then saw a card in the box and opened it, it was from the Williams family, they sent to her as a gift for everything and also since Kimberly told her mum she "might" attend the prom, Ulanni didn't even know how to reject the offer.

"You have to wear this" daisy uttered interrupting them both from their thoughts

"Emmm Daisy...."

"Ulanni i don't know why she sent this to you, but one thing I know for sure, you are going to rock this gown" Mrs Smith said with no amusement in her tone
