Chapter 38: Help!

I decided to stay in a motel for a while because it's already late at night and I don't want to disturb my relatives. It'll be easier to travel when the morning comes as well and it's not safe to wander the streets this late.
While in the motel room, Dennis' words played all over again. He said that we're going to meet each other. It's written, it's meant to be so all I have to do is to prepare for it.
I know it's a huge surprise and she may get mad at me but I don't want to waste any moment. It's now or never and we're getting older.
So I checked her social media accounts. I want to trace where she is now. I called all the saints because I really want to be with her again and hoping that she's not out of the country.
Good thing, I haven't seen anything that made me scared. She's also here in the Philippines and I could ask for my aunt's help.

I was cooking breakfast when someone rang our doorbell. It's unusual for someone to come here this early so I finished what I am frying then I went to check who that was.
I checked our peephole and I was surprised because it's Kid. They never called that he's coming and I don't even have a clue why.
Anyways, he's my nephew so I opened the door and let him in.
"Oh, biglaan yata." I said
"Mamaya mo na ayusin gamit mo. Kumain ka muna. Nakapagluto na ako ng almusal. Wala na sina tito mo e. Nagsipasok na." I added
He sat with me in the dining area and I gave him a plate and also utensils to use.
"May kailangan kasi akong gawin dito, Tita. May hahagilapin ako." he answered
"Coffee?" I offered and he nodded.
"May atraso sayo? Mukhang mabigat a. Napauwi ka e." I asked
"No, Tita. I'm looking for a girl. You know her. Kaya andito ako kasi kailangan ko ng tulong mo."
"Sino?"
"Allison Torrecampo"
"Si Allison may ginawa sayo?! Teka. Parang imposible naman yun."
"Wala po. Wala syang ginawa. Ako yung may ginawa."
"Ikwento mo. Naguguluhan ako."
I took a sip of my coffee and attentively listened to every word he said.
"Naging kami ni Allison and bigla ko syang iniwan. Ni walang kahit anong paramdam. Nagka life crisis kasi ako noon, Tita. Di ko alam gagawin ko sa buhay ko. Alam kong mahahatak ko sya. Gulung gulo ako sa buhay ko kaya kahit mahal na mahal ko, iniwan ko tapos eto, wala akong mukhang maiharap dahil sa ginawa ko. Galit sya sakin e. Galit na galit. Ramdam ko kahit di kami nag-usap. Simula noon, parang wala na ring nakalapit sa kanya. Puro focus sya sa sarili. Gusto kong makipag-ayos, Tita. Mahal na mahal ko pa rin. Ngayon, sigurado akong di ko na sya iiwan. Maayos na ako. Alam ko ang imposible kasi ang tapang nun pero susubukan ko pa rin kesa wala akong ginawa."
I saw the sincerity in his eyes. I also think that they look good together. Of course, I want what's best for them and I see him as my child too and Allie is one of my babies as well.
I never knew this thing about them but as his aunt, I am always willing to help him.
"Okay, tutulungan kita." I said
"Thank you, Tita. Sobra. Sobra."
"Alam ko kung saan sila nakatira. Kausapin ko rin muna si Tiyang Dahlia kasi magugulat yun. Ipapakilala rin kita. Magpahinga ka muna tas bukas pupunta tayo sa kanila."
"Tita, kahit mamaya kaya ko na."
"Sige, pupunta tayo after lunch. Magpahinga ka muna kasi kumbaga mamamanhikan ka. Magpagwapo ka lalo."
He smiled and nodded.
I feel happy that Kid is now serious because I know him as a playful kid back in his college days. Even though he's got that reputation, I know that he's going to take care of Allie.

I don't know why but I am also nervous.
I hope the best for them.
