Chapter 32: Nostalgia

The rush of excitement quickly takes over Win as soon as he got home and thought that he'll be seeing his friends tonight. It's been years since he had been with them and since things happened between him and Bright, he never got the chance to hang out with them because he already focused on his life and apparently the firm where he'd already taken over.

He managed to fetch his phone in his pocket and quickly dials Adrian's number with which in a few rings, he answers the call.

[Hey Win what's up?] Adrian remarks as he hovers himself to his temporary office in one of his project sites.

Adrian, I met Off earlier! Win shrieks exasperatedly as the other chuckles in disbelief. He invited me to hang out tonight so we could catch up. Damn, I've never seen them in years. Win giddily exclaimed as he rests his body on the bed and snuggles with his plushie.

Adrian smiled weakly with some thought in his mind as to why Win never had the chance to meet them all throughout the years. He's really deprived of everything he should've known ever since from the start but it was something even they can't have control over with.

[I'm sorry but I have a meeting with an investor tonight for a potential project Win.] He hisses softly as he scratches his nape and felt the exhaustion for his busy day coming ahead. [But please tell them that I want to also meet them so bad. Let's see if I can invite them over some other time when I'm not already busy from work.]

Win immediately groans at the other's statement and tosses around on his bed. Alright, I'll let them know that.

[Thanks Win, gotta go.]

Win heaves a sigh and also called the two but to no avail, they aren't also available since they have their presentations of their dissertation papers tomorrow already.

It could've been nice if they'd come, too. Win pouted while a sudden realization came to his head out of nowhere. Probably, Bright will be there too. He huffed in annoyance at his own thoughts and immediately shrugs the man out of his mind and decided to sleep even if he had a good slumber at Bright's house last night.

He isn't really sure why he felt at ease after sleeping over at his place. He's been too preoccupied lately that he can't even sleep much at all. Weird enough, his mind was at peace last night. Maybe it was the sound of rain? He thought, convincing himself as he took a deep breath and momentarily shut his eyes.

"Win!" A voice immediately stopped Win from striding his way towards the bar and immediately notices Bright getting out of his car which approaches him instantly. "You're here." Bright breathily exclaimed as he catches his breath from dashing towards Win.

The loud muffled music coming from the bar is also heard outside with which Win didn't even catch what Bright had just said and so he immediately lifts an eyebrow at him in courtesy and enters the premises without even waiting for the other.

"Hello, I guess." Bright mumbles and huffs in disbelief as he followed Win from behind and entered the bar filled with people and upbeat music that surrounds the entire lounge.

"Win!" Off quickly screeches as soon as he sees the other on the thick crowd of people with which Win immediately sees the man across the room and waves his hand in recognition. "Oh I didn't know you came with Bright." Off quickly notices Bright from behind him and wiggles his eyebrows but Win just shrugged at him and glared at him tauntingly. Win saw Gun at a table not too far from the bar lounge area and he quickly strides towards him to beam a smile and greet.
