Chapter 40: Infinite

"Trust me on this, yeah?" Bright snickered towards the other as he caressed Win's face which made him soften his features.

"B-but aren't you tired from your trip? You should be resting now Bright." Win softly remarks but the other just beamed him a smile.

"I've had enough rest already." He chuckled as he grabbed the other's hand and kissed the back of it, making Win's heart immediately flutter at the gesture. "Give me a kiss." Bright nonchalantly said which made Win look at him in bewilderment.

"B-but..." Win shyly responded but just shrugged and heaved a sigh as he gently planted a kiss on Bright's lips which made the other look at him in total amusement.

He then leans towards Win whom his face is now already flustered with heat as Bright pulls him into a passionate kiss— delving the depths of their mouths with their own tongues. Win twitches for a second as he immediately bites the other's lower lip while pulling away and gasping for air.

"Metawin is aggressive, even if it's just early in the morning." Bright breathily chuckled with his raspy voice which made the other huff in embarrassment. "I was actually asking you to give me your car keys baby." He exclaims which immediately brought red tints rushing on the other's face.

"Bright stop teasing me!" Win scowls at him and quickly glares at the other but Bright just laughs at his reaction.

"I'm sorry. I was just trying to make you feel better." He whispers which made Win frown in annoyance.

"Does kissing you make me feel better?" Win retorted as he threw him daggers, making Bright softly chuckle in disbelief.

"Well does it?" Bright exclaims jokingly in between his laughs with which Win just rolls his eyes in aggravation. "Come here." He now grabs the other's arm and quickly pulls him into a tight embrace making Win instantly falling out of words. "Let's go?" Bright asked as their eyes are now locked with each other. Win was hesitant at first, but after a couple of seconds, his hands then fetched his car keys on the other's night stand and gave it to Bright.

"Are you sure you're driving?" Win bites his lip as the other gives him one of his hoodies he briefly grabbed from his closet in case it is cold outside. Bright quickly beams him a smile which made Win huff in disbelief. "Did Adrian told you—"

"Hush, baby. I just need you to put your trust in me and just take a rest during the trip. Okay?" Bright grabs the other's hand and squeezes it, as if giving him an assurance that it will all be fine.

"Alright, let's go." Win softly remarks which made the other chuckle. Bright immediately snakes his arm towards Win as they now stride their way to Win's car.

It may have been years since Win's dad died but the memory of it has always been lingering inside Win's heart. It still seems to be fresh wound for him, as if it just happened yesterday— and every time this day of the year comes, he can't help himself but to feel wary and heavy at the same time for his longingness.

The rest of the whole trip was engulfed with silence as Win took his time to sleep while Bright is driving. From time to time, the other steals glances at Win and he couldn't help but smile and feel the happiness creeping inside his chest as he stare at Win's peaceful surface.

Win immediately groans as streaks of light coming from the sun strikes his face, making him realize that it's already morning and the sun has already risen. He quickly turns his head towards the other with which a small smile is etched on his face.
