"I can sense your hatred very clearly, Song Ji An..." a voice interrupted, causing the princess to stand up abruptly with a gasp, looking around to search for the source of the voice.

"W-who's there?! Who am I speaking to right now?" Ji An groaned, picking a knife just beside her on the table.

"How surprising, a sweet princess like you possesses a small deadly weapon inside your room. Does the king allow that?" the voice chuckled. "Well, it is futile if you continue screaming. I am speaking to you inside your very head, your highness."

"And who exactly are you?" the princess scoffed, still holding the knife firmly in her grasp in case something or someone would unexpectedly attack her. "Answer me, who are you?" she repeated sternly.

"I am the very voice of the being all the gods fear, the being parents storytell to their children so they could sleep like good kids. I am...father of The Horn." The Lord stated, chuckling deeply.

"Y-you're....you're Mal Gu, the one-horned demon of forfeit..." Ji An stuttered, widening her eyes. "I have always known you're real. My father has been hunting your people for a long time." she said, clicking her tongue lazily. The way she spoke sounded like she wasn't even afraid of The Lord, as if they were friends. "How do you know where I am?"

"I am able to reach through your mind and speak to you, but that doesn't mean I know where you are. I do not know where you are, princess." he stated. "Ironically, my men and I have been searching for some people from your kingdom, Ji An." The Lord breathed out, earning the girl's further attention as she became even more curious with his next words. "Your sisters." he answered, which made Ji An feel disgusted.

"They are not my sisters. They never will be." she hissed poisonously.

"Well then, consider this your lucky day, since they are just what I want, what I exactly want." he chuckled. "As of now, my faithful and powerful apprentices, the Black Knights, under the leadership of Balmong the Great, are on their way to this kingdom. I know what you're thinking, you will tell your father about this and then tell the soldiers to put up their defenses, their strong walls. But unless you want the three girls out of your life so that you can live to the fullest as a free and happy princess, I suggest you stay silent, your highness."

"And why would I do that?" Ji An hummed. The Lord chuckled again before deciding to answer her with his persuasive voice.

"I have a plan to devise to you, and you will follow as I say."

Han Sou and captain Man Hul, his father, were having dinner together, just the both of them, sitting across each other. They had rice with some chicken stew as their simple yet filling enough dinner. The young man grabbed a pair of chopsticks and took a pinch of rice, putting it inside his mouth as he chewed before picking up a wooden soup and taking some soup and chicken from the big pot. Man Hul, who was paying attention to his son eating, chuckled gladly and shook his head.

"Slow down, son, you'll get choked up soon enough if you eat like a starving wolf. There's nothing happening, just eat." he joked. Han Sou chuckled apologetically and started taking it slowly, munching on the chicken satisfyingly, trying not to speed things up as if he was in an urgent situation. His father smiled happily looking at him. The father and son were very thankful for this chance since they rarely met, and Man Hul thanked himself for getting some rest from his duty as captain so he could at least spend more time home with his family, although Han Sou was the one to take responsibility.
