Previously..."Why are you here?" Jeong Yeon asked sternly, standing beside the young girl who didn't even bother to look at her. "Answer me, Han Ri, why are you here?" she repeated, a little louder this time. Silence, and another silence.
"Nothing"
"This is not nothing. It's never nothing. Now look me in the eye and tell me what the hell you are doing here alone." Jeong Yeon raised her eyebrows.
"Why would you want to know?" Han Ri turned her head sharply to face the older girl.
"I'm your sister."
"...."
"Don't just sit there and say nothing like you're mute, answer my goddamn question." she glared at her. Although she was quite surprised to see this different side of her sister, Han Ri was still not intimidated at all. She had been used to this kind of thing. "Stand up. Stand up, Han Ri, do as I say."
"Can't you just let me sit?!" Han Ri raised her voice, startling her sister. "Can't you just please, for once, let me be? Let me cry, let me die, whatever I want to do, just please, let me be..." her voice became weak in the end, sounding like a whisper. Jeong Yeon sighed deeply and clenched her fists, bracing herself to ask her sister the question she had never thought she would ask.
"Were you the one who killed some of our attackers when they raided Gariya?" she asked, closing her eyes shut afterwards like it was the biggest mistake she had ever done. When Han Ri heard her sister's dreadful question, she became silent, and immobile. She didn't flinch, she didn't look at her, she only sat there on the grass without moving nor talking. This only further up increased Jeong Yeon's suspicions, and she took a deep breath from both disappointment and sympathy.
".....yes"
"Why?"
"I don't know."
"Cut it with the horseshit, Han Ri, just tell me why!" Jeong Yeon pulled her sister up roughly, looking at her straight in the eyes, glaring at her angrily. She had had enough of it. "I've always wanted to train you to fight, but you refused, now I find out that you had just killed some of our attackers and even saving Myoui Momo?! What is it you're up to, Han Ri? What is it?! You know what? I've had enough of you doing whatever you want, from now on, you are no longer allowed to leave the Outer Realm unless abeoji tells you to, is that clear?!"
Suddenly, Han Ri glared at her sister and broke free of her grasp forcefully, pushing the older girl away, surprising her. She gritted her teeth as he breaths became uneasy and unstable, her chest panting unstoppably.
"Just because you believe in The Horn doesn't mean I should too! I never wanted to...go on wars and killing both the innocent and guilty, I-I only wanted to live in a world where eomma is still alive, where people like us are accepted!" Han Ri cried. Her tears were overflooding, and it scared Jeong Yeon because of how sad she looked.
"We will, Han Ri, we wil-"
"NO! Everything you all do are just wrong! You're not making them respect you, you're all just making them even more scared of you, you're making them hate us more, unnie!" she sobbed. Jeong Yeon only stood there, wordless. This was the first time her sister had ever broke down in front of her, she wished this would be the las too. "I....I love Mi Na, unnie....I love her." she said. The older girl looked at her, as she too knew who that was. "I have always liked her ever since we first met years ago, but I was too dumb and scared to admit it. I have always been paying attention on her my whole life ever since that, but she.....she barely even knows me! Watching her kiss another guy with my own eyes destroyed me, unnie, it destroyed me..." her voice cracked. This hurt Jeong Yeon even more. Now she totally regret yelling at her sister.
