"I know, I know. Years have passed, and still, Ji An won't accept us as her sisters even until now just because we're adopted." Ji Won spoke again. Mi Na sighed and looked at Han Sou who gave her a nod to cheer her younger sister up. She looked at Ji Won and moved her chin up using her finger, their gaze soon meeting.

"Ji Won-ah, do not let it cloud your mind. You don't have to care about what she thinks of us. What matters is that we're sisters, and sisters always stick together no matter what." she smiled and soon, they pressed their foreheads against each other.

"Promise?" Ji Won grinned.

"Promise" Mi Na smiled at her sister. Just as she was about to say something, they suddenly heard a man's raspy voice and pants, running tiredly as he arrived at the castle with his horse. Everyone immediately crowded the place and looked at him with surprised faces. Mi Na, Ji Won and Han Sou looked at one another with confusion carved clearly in their faces. "What's going on over there? Why is it noisy?" Mi Na stood up abruptly, trying to peek the scene.

"What's the matter?" Momo asked the handmaiden when she too heard the noise, looking at the direction of where the crowd was running to. The handmaidens beside her shrugged in confusion too, not knowing of the current situation. Momo hummed curiously, walking out of the garden to check on what's going on.

After hearing the fuss, Gwangman walked out of his house, looking at the man as he patted his back to calm him down. He recognized this person. He was one of the squad he sent to search for The Horn. He returned sooner than the rest. The soldier was panting hard, his chest heaving as he tried to scream for air from the overflowing exhaustion that swarmed in.

"Take it easy, soldier, take it easy." Gwangman stated, rubbing his back. "Now, tell me what happened? What news have you brought?" he asked calmly. The soldier finally pulled himself together, and so he looked at the king with extremely frightened eyes, eyes of horror.

"T-the Black Knights are h-" just as he was about to finish his line, an arrow was shot to his neck, blood splattering as the soldier fell to the ground dead. The villagers screamed in horror and began backing off, some even panicking so much that they began running in circles. Gwangman gasped at the sudden attack and watched in horror as the corpse lied on the ground. He looked up to search for the source of the noise, and suddenly, he widened his eyes when he saw many unknown figures riding horses, all moving so fast as the hostile men began swarming in the kingdom. In a split second, Gwangman could already tell that they were enemies.

Mi Na, Ji Won and Han Sou had arrived near Gwangman along with many soldiers, and when the enemies had come closer, three figures in the middle moved forward. When Mi Na saw who they were, she instantly knew them just by looking at them for a second. The dread. The terror. The past. The hatred. It all had come back to her as she widened her eyes, her lips slightly parting as she clenched her fists in pure rage. She never knew they would meet again after a long time, moreover in the kingdom. She had always expected herself to find and kill them all by herself, not the other way around.

As the two Black Knights got off their horses, the one in the middle, their leader, who was riding a dragon, got off too. Haegolbul the dragon roared loudly, terrifying almost anyone at the scene who heard her shriek. The villagers were all cowering behind the walls, peeking at them secretly in fear, while Gwangman and the soldiers along with his two adoptive daughters stood on their ground bravely.
