They finally landed at the outskirts of San Francisco and got their bearings. Thalia was still shacking from the ride on the statues
Zoe: Are you alright?
Thalia: Yeah...I'm alright....just need a minute
Percy: Alright, well where do we find Nereus?
Zoe: This way
They all follow her to a very dirty part of San Francisco. When they got there they saw that there were a lot of homeless people by the shoreline.
Y/n: This is where Nereus lives?
Zoe: Yes, he prefers to not be known. That's why he makes himself out to look like an old homeless person to try and throw people off. Keep a close eye out, he's a child of the sea so don't let him near the water.
They continue on their hunt for the old man of the sea as they call him. As they were searching, y/n got the feeling that they were being watched. He then stretched his senses and sensed a very strange power near him. He then looks to where the energy is coming from and he sees a old man with a beard looking at them wearily.

Y/n: Hey guys, i think i found him
They all look to where he's looking and see the same man. The man notices they are looking and starts to walk away, but then Zoe starts running after him and so do the others. The old man books it to the pier
Zoe: Don't let him near the water!
Nerues gets close to the edge of the pier, but just as he was about to jump in. He was tackled to the ground by both Percy and Grover. They restrain him and make sure he doesn't get away.
Zoe: Okay talk, are you Nereus?
???: Is that your question you ask of me?
Thalia: Yup it's him
Zoe: Where is Lady Artemis?
Nereus: Ha! You already know hunter or do i have to remind you of who your daddy is?
Zoe is shocked by this and gets back to the next question.
Zoe: Who is the Bane of Olympus?
Nerues: Woah only one question a meeting. That's it for me now let me go.
Zoe then takes her knife and places it near his throat
Zoe: You will tell us or die
Nerues:......Fine, the Bane of Olympus is the creature that's been following you this entire quest.
Percy: Bessie?
Nerus: Yeah, "Bessie" that's your Bane now let me go
Thalia: Why is it the Bane of Olympus?
Nerues: *Groan* Because if you sacrifice the entrails of the ophiotaurus then whoever did it will have the power to destroy Olympus. Now let me go!
